November 2024 ~ Player of the Month!

Congratulations to our November's Player Spotlight Winner!Knightly Knightly (#25900), our friend of the Arts! ...Community Chatter...These little shout-outs come from various players, not just staff! Thank you!" ...Interview Questions...Anyone who wins P.o.t.M. can answer as many or all of the questions as they want or feel comfortable answering! ~...HP Questions...~ 1. How did you first learn about us? I grew up playing a lot of HL and another game called Horse Isle. As those games changed and grew less active I started searching for something new to play. I was so excited to find something so similar to old school HL. I’ve been in and out over the last ten years or so as the nostalgia hits. 2. What is your favorite thing about HP? The community is so welcoming, everyone is so helpful and encouraging. I also appreciate that this is a game where I can practice my art in a low key environment. 4. How did you come up with your player name? I always choose my player name based on the horse I own at the time. I chose knightly for my black TWH named Knight. 6. What caused you to pick the breed(s) you train and breed? Currently, TWH, because of my irl horse. I also like to breed Arabians sometimes because they have such pretty stock options. 7. How do you come up with names for your animals? I ask my wife haha. This time she picked celestial themed names so I’ve been keeping up with that. 8. What are your current goals on HP? I’m definitely a lurker, so I’m currently wanting to be more active and interactive. My plan for November is to create a few simple tutorials to help fellow artists. I love seeing the art journey I went on reflected here as others experience it. 10. Who’s your go-to graphic artist or coder? Are there any services you offer? I make all the art for my own animals, but I love trading with other artists for my layout. I currently have a beautiful piece from uta featuring my personal character called Samhain. I don’t offer any commission work through the site right now, but I do try to regularly put things in the auction when I find good stock. 12. What other contests or activities do you usually participate in? Art contests, usually. Sometimes the muse fails me and I love a good prompt. 16. What do you spend most of your time on HP doing? Training and stalking thru the art auctions and chats lol ~..Real Life & Random Questions....~ 3. What do you do for work? I have a digital arts degree, fully because of the start in digital art I got on HL. I do some freelance art and commission work on the side through DeviantArt. My primary job is in eye care and opticianry. 4. Do you own any horses or dogs? My wife and I own four horses, a dog, and a cat. 6. What are your favorite breeds of horse and dog? I grew up riding primarily quarter horses, but with my last horse I made the switch to gaited and I don’t think I’ll ever go back! 7. Do you have any hobbies? If so, what are they? Art, of course. Digital has always been my favorite medium but I’m also trying to develop my painting and drawing skills. I’d like to have my own chibi horse drawing style eventually. No post-it note at work is safe from my doodling. 8. What’s your favorite color? Blue and green, especially teal and mint. 24. Any good books or comics that you’ve read recently? Book Tok made me read Fourth Wing and now I’m making my wife read it too haha 25. Any good movies or shows you’ve seen lately? Currently doing a rewatch of Lost, since they put it on Netflix recently. Midway through season 3 right now! ~~~~~~ December's Nominees!
