One of my favorite things to make are candied pecans! They are super easy to make and delicious!

I love making pancakes.  My favorite receipe that i always make and i put it in christmas cards last year that i still get compliments on. this receipe also tastes good when camping as you can leave out the eggs and jsut add a little more margarine.

Country Style Pankcakes

1 1/2 cup flour

2 tbsp sugar

1 tbsp Baking Powder

1/2 tsp salt

1 egg beaten

1 1/4 cup milk

3 tbsp melted margarine (or butter)

Sift together dry ingredients. combine the milk and egg together, stir than added the melted margarine, stir. And then add to the dry ingredients.  Batter will be lumpy and thick. preheat grill to 350 degrees. Makes about 1 dozen small pancakes.

I doubt it was this recipe, but I know I've made chocolate pecan pie bars before and I want to make them again for my family's christmas to prove to my brother that chocolate and pecan pie DOES go together and it is, indeed, delicious. xD

Traditional Kiwi Christmas desert. Don't let those pesky Aussies tell you they invented it! It was us kiwis!

The only difference is I use the peppermint striped hershey kisses instead of the traditional. :)

I'm going to go with a cereal treat similar to Sunday's, but the ones my Mum made using Cornflakes/Crunchy Nut Cornflakes/Frosties (Frosted Flakes) and Mars bars (Milky Way for Americans). These were made for special occasions. When Mum bought Mars bars and extra cereal, we knew something good was coming!

Step 1: Melt the butter in a pot
Step 2: Slice the chocolate bars so that they will melt quickly, and add to melted butter
Step 3: Pour in cereal gradually whilst stirring
Step 4: When all is mixed, scoop into cases then refrigerate to set
Step 5: Remove from fridge
Step 6: INSERT INTO FACE HOLE AND  M U N C H

Thankyou so so so much for hosting this for me while I was unexpectedly away, you are a goddess.

Below is the recipe for a traditional Australian Christmas dessert. I make this every single year, and top it with summer fruits and chocolate. So so so so good.

Found this recipe online just today, and it looks like something I might enjoy more readily than a regular chocolate version. Depending on the chocolate and milk, I've found the peppermint to be "eclipsed" by the chocolate rather than "complimentary". I like how this one adds peppermint extract, which would probably help that peppermint flavor to stand out.

-- Peppermint Hot White Chocolate --

  • 2 cups milk (whole milk or a dairy-free option like almond or oat milk)

  • 1/2 cup white chocolate chips (or finely chopped white chocolate)

  • 1/2 teaspoon peppermint extract

  • Whipped cream (optional)

  • Crushed candy canes (for garnish)

Instructions:

  1. In a medium saucepan, heat the milk over medium heat until it begins to steam, but don't let it boil.

  2. Add the white chocolate chips and whisk continuously until the chocolate is fully melted and the mixture is smooth.

  3. Remove the pan from the heat and stir in the peppermint extract.

  4. Pour the hot chocolate into mugs, top with whipped cream, and sprinkle crushed candy canes on top for a festive touch.

  5. Serve immediately and enjoy the comforting warmth!

My thing this year is trying to make zero sugar gummy bears. My husband and his brother eat them like they're going out of style, and they are hard to find in stores. So I thought it would be a good Christmas present to figure out how to make them and make a bunch to give out to the family for Christmas. So I googled a recipe. Tried it today and this is how they turned out. They're so cute! And super duper simple!!

I'm pretty simple, lol. I can't cook but my favorite holiday side is stuffing/dressing, whatever you'd like to call it lol. My favorite that I personally can make is hot chocolate with Rumchata.

I always add a TON of little marshmellows.
