Not sure if this goes here, and feel free to move it if not, but who is everyone going for in the derby. Myself, I am looking at a few horses, Sandman for one, American Promise (Justify colt) , Render Judgement (he was owned by the late Toby Keith) and last but not least Publisher (American Pharoah colt). I really hope Sandman wins as I love Metallica and greys, and hes a Tapit colt, and he has one of the best jockeys in racing. Please no bashing or anything. Lets keep it friendly. :) 

I know hind-sight is 20-20 .. But Sandman was an easy play against.
I know a lot of his appeal came from the yound social media owner, and I am ok with that, but Sandman was MASSIVLY overrated. He had 1 win, from an un-godly pace. Every year we see that 'wise-guy' horse, more often than not, a deep closer. Most of the time it's pretty easy to look past them.
Journalism was my pick, and he ran well. I think coming out, the horse I have the most interest in is Baeza.
I do wish he were with someone other than Sherrif's though. Not The Bafffert butcher machine, but I'd love to see this horse with Mandella.
Taking nothing away from Sov. He ran a bang up race, I still can't get behind him. It was probably the best and most legit derby we've seen in at least 5 years.
Not running in the Preakness is another black mark to me. The Fact that right after the race Mott was pretty iffy makes me scratch my head.
Mott is one of my favorites, but Sov.'s inconsistency and quick preakness defection kind of makes me wonder if we will even see him in the Belmont.
