HPP Poll

In an ongoing attempt to find the best middle ground on the HPP/achievement/trade-in issue that the majority of players will be satisfied with, I've come up with an alternative option to what we currently have since I fixed the bug a few months ago. 

The two options are as follows:

Option 1: Keep the HPP/Achievement bug fixed with the newly lowered HPP trade-in rates

5 HPP = 1 HPB

10 HPP = 1 month upgrade

1 HPP = $1 million

1 HPP = 1,000 animal points

Option 2: Change back to the HPP/Achievement bug (which awards 1 HPP every time a player achievement is awarded) and raise the HPP trade-in rates

8 HPP = 1 HPB

20 HPP = 1 month upgrade

3 HPP = $1 million

3 HPP = 1,000 animal points

Please vote HERE by Thursday, July 2nd at 12pm HP time. Majority will rule, and I will post a picture of the results on the corresponding forum post.

Also please note that it is still my plan to work on adding more achievements this summer now that I am done work.

July Spotlight Breeds

Our July Spotlight Breeds are also our only two Cash Shop breeds that have two spotlights each year: the Patriot Paint and the Liberty Lab!

The Patriot Paint was added in September 2012 to commemorate 9/11 in the United States. They are described as being a patriotic Paint of stars and stripes. The highest pointed Patriot Paint on HP currently is Pointe du Hoc, owned by vexation.

The Liberty Lab is the dog equivalent to the Patriot Paint, added in September 2012 to commemorate 9/11. They are your most patriotic pup. The highest pointed Liberty Lab on HP currently is Sirn means Song, owned by Lady Rancher (RIP).

You can find both of these breeds in the Store for the week, before they return to their home in the Cash Shop until September!

Does option 2 include hpp being awarded for every breeding that is done like before the bug was fixed? Or still just the first time you get a 500k pointed foal, first time you get a 1mil pointed foal, etc?

Ok, everyone, the results are in!

As Option 2 was the winner, I have gone ahead and spent this evening trying to remember how to un-fix the bug to revert it back to pre-fix (lol). I *think* based on what I've been able to test without screwing stuff up by running the cron too much that I've successfully done that. I have also changed the prices on the HPP-Trade-In page.

Please note:

I will be monitoring the HPP Trade-In activity, and if required I will further tweak the HPP trade-in values. I promise any changes made won't be drastic (ie. I'm not going to suddenly shoot it up so you need 100 HPP for a 1-month upgrade), however if minor tweaking is needed, I will be doing that and will note it in the change log. I also promise not to yo-yo it up and down.

If you notice one of the player achievements is doing something weird or isn't awarding like it should, please shoot me a message, as now is the time of year when I have free time to look at this stuff in-depth when my brain isn't fried from a full day of working with children.

Also, just a reminder that THIS thread is your opportunity to suggest achievements you might like to see added to the game.

Patriot Paints are not in the shop yet.

That's weird...I remember doing that on Sunday.

NOW they should be in the store, and I'll give them an extra week.

Any idea on what will happen for awards that were achieved during the last few months?

Great question. There will be no additional HPP given out, as prior to me fixing the bug back in February, it was never meant to be given out that way originally. We have, per player majority vote from the survey last week, returned the bug as a permanent feature in the system, which will award out the HPP going forward like it did during the bug. 

I didn't vote being a newish player not understanding the whole HPP things. Since we are going back to the old style.. Can someone kindly explain how I can make more HPP?

Hi Kenna! If you view the help page here: https://horsephenomena.com/other_info.php on the left hand side, there is the list of all different tabs for the different achievements that can be reached and earned! HPP is earned by reaching all of the different achievements, and then can be traded in for upgrade time, HPB, HPB, and even animal points!

there should be competitions where HPP can be offered as a prize, ie the winner could choose from horse bucks, HPP or money.
