What is your favorite training method? At the moment, I enter my horses in their shows for the week on Monday - it takes a long time, and I feel like they could probably be doing better, as far as points go. They're hitting 1 mil at 17, which is fine, but I have some stores I bought from someone else who are hitting 1 mil 1-2 weeks earlier than mine... so I'm just curious, what's your favorite method? :) |

Personally, I like to hand enter as many as I can because I think they get the best points. After that I will use the enter all on a somewhat daily basis for second best point gains. I tested out training like that with the enter all on 16 horses and they almost hit 1.5mil by retirement. Horses I trained with enter all at the beginning of the week were 100k-300k less at retirement. |

I just dump everything in shows using an enter all when I have a minute. Which is usually my day off. Which is Thursday. LMFAO Link Tree |

Yeah I just throw mine into 20 a day thursday-sunday at the very last minute lol. I used to train 20 a day every morning for 4 days, then when the training calendar was put in I found it SO MUCH FASTER to train the whole week at once so I started doing that :P |

I just can't bring myself to hand enter when that "enter all" button is there... and it's so easy... lol! I suppose if I didn't have so many horses, it might be easier. When you do it that way, do you go through and actually look for shows with the fewest entries? |

I can't even remember the last time I actually searched for unflooded shows LOL. It was a good couple years ago at least o_o |

I hand enter my top line of MFT's. They have hit 1.9 mill so far. The second line I enter all either 10-20 shows each day. My Palominos I enter all daily. My Labs I enter all once a week with the exception of entering them in my private shows. I weekly switch back and forth between hand-entering and daily enter all-ing my Malamutes and my BMD's. They have hit 2 mill this way. Annnd my newest ventures, my Dalmatians and Paints I enter all for the entire week at once. :P |

So when you hand enter, how do you pick the shows? When I was hand entering (because I had dogs on my QH account, so no breed specialty) I just kinda tried to pick shows from the middle pages... not sure if that's beneficial or not lol |

I'm guilty of enter all :x lol. I've been wanting to just try training hand enter, but it's so much easier with enter-all. |

I check the shows on the last page(s) and see how many horses are entered. |

When I hand enter I "spot check" shows from the last handful of pages to peek at the number of entries. |
