Test Image by Edengraphics on DeviantArt How do you post the picture directly into the forum? Long story short. been out of the photo manip game for well over a decade (last time I did edits was the OG horseland game). Pretty satisfied with this first image after a long hiatus but there are some things that I just *cant* remember how to do anymore. 1. How do you get the glowy text? The buttons have since moved around in the newer photoshop editions. 2. Do you all primarily edit on your ipad then switch to your computer or vice versa? 3. How did you upload the picture to your horse's page? Other than that, I welcome all critques on this. I'm not 100% happy with it, but it will do for now. (I want to make the name *glowy* and I hated the hooves, so I hid them. I need to play around with the brushes to fix the water and the hair needs work lol) |

Hey! Let me see if I can answer these. lol 1. To post into a forum i just copy paste the image into the text box. 2. The glowy text that I think you are talking about is maybe layer style > outer glow then just adjust the colors / settings to your liking. At least that's how I do it. There seems to be 5 ways to do everything in the new versions. 3. I don't have an ipad so I just use my computer with a wacom drawing tablet. 4. And image uploading from DA I have not been able to get right somehow so I just use imgur and others use imgbb too. As far as your image you have a great start! I suggest downloading some hair brushes, they make it so much easier than the stock adobe brushes. I'll put a link to a doc made by Utakata that I used to find some good ones as well as a list she did of stock providers. You also do not quite have the credits right. Like the DA credit is the old style and the new credit style is "deviantart.com/USERNAME". I suggest heading over to the crediting help page here on HP (I'll link that as well) and refreshing yourself with the rules. I hope this helps! Please feel free to message me with any other questions and I will try to answer them. https://docs.google.com/document/d/18gBK5tcYLFKsLZ6gQBxryXOkZUT5z29sZBgdwME-ofs/edit?usp=sharing https://docs.google.com/document/d/1nFPmInf9AwdwfdqDuSOcbHa4O745jHxGo6A4XDvouSo/edit?usp=sharing https://horsephenomena.com/credithelp.php ![]() |

I greatly appreciate it, thank you so much! That list of brushes is AMAZING. And weird. Everytime I try to copy paste, it just shows the broken jpg picture :( |

You will have to upload the image to a site that allows hotlinking. As said Imgur and Imgbb works, and I use Imgbox. In order to post the image on the forum you will have to use the HTML code. If you don't know the code, it's in the first box on this site: https://www.programiz.com/html/images Just copy and paste that code into the forum, upload your image and copy and past the full URL into the code between the two quotation marks, where the logo.png is in the example. And an extra tip, a lot of places you upload to, Including Imgur, automatically give you a sharing link for your image. That link will not work on many sites as it's not linking directly to the image, but to a web page. Once your image is uploaded, you can right-click on it and either "Open image in new tab" or "Copy Image Link" to get the real image URL. It should end in .jpg/.png or whatever image format your image is. Hope that helps! :D |

ah HA! It did help. Thank you! Now I can take down the deviantart post. I'm not a fan of 'publishing' unfinished work. |

My only feedback is to make sure if you're using it on HP, you check the credit help guide (which Farewell linked, and is also under the Help menu!) to make sure you're using the correct format for the credits! ![]() ![]() |

I think it looks great, eden! Some "splash" brushes down by the feet can help it blend better if you're still trying to mess with it, but I think you did a great job! ![]() |

Also something I like to do if a horse is in water, add some faint white lines around the hooves, kinda like ripples, if that makes sense? ![]() |
