[I] finally got a piece of the pie! ♪

Well, it's finally happened!

As many of you know, I still live at home with my parents and am in my late 30s. Many of you also know that that arrangement isn't always...ideal, especially living with my mother.

Well, after like 15 years of saving, and saving...and saving som more...as of an hour ago, I have officially bought a condo, and will be getting the keys to my own place (with my cat Ella) on November 20th!

It's a 2-bedroom, 1.5 bath upper unit condo townhouse. Which means I have the top 2 floors, then someone has the basement and 1st floor below me, as a separate unit. Good-sized bedrooms, on a private street. Quiet area. Technically the subdivision is considered a "golf community" as there's a golf course through it LOL which just makes it sound swanky. Only thing I need to do to it to start out is have the carpet cleaned, as I don't think it's seen a vacuum since before the tenants who lived there before moved out at the beginning of August. I also want to pait the whole place before I move my stuff in so I don't have to move furniture to paint, and just to give it a refresh (nothing wrong with the current paint colour, just want it to be all fresh and lovely).

It's been a bit of a whirlwind month of October to say the least. Went from finding out my new job bumps me up significantly for a mortgage pre-approval, to later that week casually going to look at a few condos, to putting in an offer the following Wednesday, then since then dealing with the conditions on the sale being sorted.

So yeah. Kinda exciting. Little bit terrifying.

What this means for HP? I may be a bit less present on the game over the next few weeks as I do the mad dash to pack, get stuff finalized, buy stuff I need (like a couch!), get the keys, paint, have the carpets cleaned, paint, then actually move my stuff in. There also could be a few days of lack of internet once I have moved in until it gets hooked up, but I'll let you know officially closer to the time once I know for sure.
