My yard backs onto our local showground so it's a little frowned upon if you don't show your face to at least a couple a year! I managed to avoid last year and just acted as an escourt for the more nervous/younger horses on the yard. This year I thought it was time to wheel Sky out for a bit of fun! I haven't done much with him after he broke my ankle and I had to have an operation so we just did a couple of in hand classes for our first time. He was very well behaved (apart from refusing to stand still or stand square in the line up!) Didn't place in coloured but came 1st in the Cob and Hunter class. super proud mummy moment! :)

Thank you guys! It was his birthday yesterday, he's 7 now so I've told him it's time to grow up! He's scared of his own shadow most of the time, such a wuss!

Congrats! It feels good to get back into a show ring after a while, that's what Catt and I did this year. Glad your first trip back out was a success!

Thanks guys, it's only a little local show but I was still proud of him :) There's a lot of people who take it super serious and start getting ready days/weeks before but I rolled up to the yard at 10am, gave him a quick bath and was at the show for 12!
