Yeah. I knew it was coming and I'm okay with it. Everything just feels weird.
I don't think it has really sunk in yet.
Manny, the guy who bought him, siad he is going to keep Catt at his dad's place in California because his other three are in Mexico and difficult to bring across the border every time he wants to show in the US. (I live like 20 miles from the US-Mexico border so it isn't that uncommon here, especially for ropers and ranch horses)
He said he would let me know when and where he was showing him so I could come watch sometime. 
He's coming to pick Catt up on Thursday or Friday. I'm going to spend the last few days with him herding and sorting cows and giving him a bath and clipping him and gromming him forever. Bleh.

Things are weird.

Awwwww how bittersweet. :(  He will love and miss you, but will be thankful he will be doing what he loves.  It takes a strong person to put their own wants/needs aside to do what's best for their animals.  -hugs- ♥

We are dropping him off tomorrow morning. I'm not that sad, I don't thinkit has hit me yet. Or maybe I just know it has been coming so I'm prepared?
I'm going to wake up early and groom him and take him for one last walk before he goes

Sorry I keep using the forums as a place to vent. :/ 

Catt got dropped off today at his new place. It is near the beach and has trails that lead to the beach that I rode him on. my trainer, his new owner, and myself trailer him over today and then Manny, the new owner, gave us a tour of the barn. It is a really nice place. They had a three week old Fresian foal!!!! And a two day old Gunner grandson who was so cute! The white face and socks and everything. Manny put Catt in his new coral which is next to a mini donkey, a 11h POA and a 14h cutting mare, so Catt is clearly the odd giant out but he settled really quick. Lot to get used to for Catt. There are goats, chickens, pigs, and parrots on the property that the owner (Manny's dad) has, but Catt has always been pretty level headed as far as that stuff goes.

I didn't really get upset while I was there. I said goodbye to him and told him to be good and thanked him for being my first colt. He's such a sweet horse. I wish he worked out but he just didn't.

Manny said he would have his dad keep his eyes out for a few horse for me. His dad is a Reiner and his step mom is a reined cow horse trainer so I know they'll find something Good. Only want another horse for at east six months but sometimes it takes that long to find. Idk where I'm going with this.

i cried the whole way home but in fine now. It's gonna be weird tomorrow when he isn't at the barn.
