I use to use Microsoft frontpage, and have also worked with Dream Weaver, but defintiely prefer Front Page. Anyway, I was wondering if there are free html editing programs out there that are similair? I am not in a position to pay for  a program right now, and need something to code layouts in.

Oh okay thank you ^.^ I got a free trial for dream weaver, hopefully by the time it runs out I can afford to buy front page again, I defintiely need a program that lets me edit the content at face value and not jsut the code :p

I've only ever used plain old notepad. Though I know of two browser based ones that you can go through and preview. Practice board and jsfiddle. I use jsfiddle to host my free layouts, which you can grab off my page if you want to see jsfiddle and play with it.

I find if I can get the bones of hte page sorted I just code directly into HP (yet, i do have moments of wanting to cry when it doesn't save... its like adding an element of danger to boring coding heheh)

This is a very late reply, but my Web Design teacher had us download Komodo Edit. It's AWESOME.
