The one area of HP that seems to constantly have inactivity is our clubs. So, what if we allowed presidents the ability to award points to horses for winning prizes?

There would obviously need to be some boundaries...

Presidents wouldn't be able to award points to their own horses

There would be a limit to how many points they could distribute (like 2000 points max per horse or something like that, and maybe only a max. of 5 horses can get points in one term)

I think the races for prezzies would become a lot more competitive if points were involved and club activity would skyrocket!

We've been trying to get clubs more active basically since the game launched. Honestly, it's not so much the presidents as a general lack of interest overall. Even when I was giving things away for free in return for the barest of participation and nada. Now I just kinda throw up some things to offer for free and keep up with my registrations. 

The issue with awarding points is that is something that only our 4 admins can really do. For all the clubs on the game. That seems a little much to ask.

On a personal note, I don't know how I feel about the idea of adding more ways to get points. They already get points on registry. From tickets and shows, and they're often awarded in site special events.

I would LOVE to get clubs more active!

It's something we've tossed around a lot, but we never seem to come to a decision as a staff or even as a game what we should do with them. I am open to letting clubs award points (but maybe like only one prize per term of points), and just making it automatic for them to do?

What does every one else think of this?

I don't want things to get too crazy with points, which is why I think it could only work if club presidents could only award points ONCE per term. Like 2000 points, to whoever, but then that's it.

I'd say give it a try and see if it helps. I do think it needs to be monitored  and be able to look back and see where the points are going. So that way someone can't give their animals or a friend the points each month, like if they're doing a project or something. 2k doesn't seem like much but it can add up.

Honestly giving out 2k pts once a month doesnt seem very worthy...i doubt itll get any more activity then they are now....

i think maybe if you had just a few clubs then maybe youd have more people out to win votes n such...

im not sure about the activity of the dog clubs...

plus there are already so many associations similar to the clubs that most ppl see no point in the clubs...besides the fact that clubs award 1k pts for registering...

really i think we should either get rid of the clubs and just have asaocs or vice versa...

I really don't have any wonderful ideas, but I'd love to see the activity increase. I do remember on the horseland days the only real thing active about clubs was people paid huge amounts of money just for votes. I think it was more of a "I won!!" type thing. I never really noticed tons of giveaways, and if they did giveaways no one really entered. 

The only thing that comes to mind is awarding money to those who win for the month term. Perhaps more people would try with the clubs. : Then you have the issue if you award money and people start paying for votes it would be a mess. I'm really at a loss -hides in corner with no bright ideas-

I think the clubs are more beneficial than the associations tbh just because of that 1k you get from registering. As for the 2k points I think it would be a pretty good incentive. But I agree with trig that it should definitely be monitored. I'm really hoping to see activity increase in the clubs because, like Auda said, it was super fun and super competitive back on HL to run for pres.
