So I have a rather large issue... I've got this image, right? but there are FAR too many good coders and i cant decide who i want to ...hire? is that the right word? Annnyway. I was thinking of instead of a layout contest do a coding contest. But has anyone ever held one of these contests? How would it work? And what would be a good award? I was thinking like 150 mil? buuut alas, i cannot decide. 

So Any thoughts, comments, or even if you'd like to enter in the contest (which i havent decided what i want yet) ???

What I want:

1. You can code it almost ANY way you want. I'm partial to accordion, iframe (tabbed layouts), and scrolls. I like some styles of expandies. So that gives you some leeway. However you wanna do the headers and subheaders, too, is up to you

2. I would prefer the send message, friend request thing to be custom made. It may not necessarily knock your points if it is not. 

3. I would like the bold to stand out more than just a "heavy" font. and the same for italics. 

4. I would like the link hovers to change somehow. donnt really care how they change just as long as there is a change when you hover over any link . (includes regular links, send message links, and navigation links) 

5. As far as the image goes i have it sized perfectly for my laptop and i would like it to stay that size if at all possible. 

6. Match, Match, Match! Always make sure the code (and the colors) matches and works with the image! 

Now as far as giving you the image, please message my main (#16127, this account) if you want to enter into the contest. and i'll give you the image. Now i have two versions of the image. One where its blended to a preferred color and another is just the image (with my name, number and quote on it) 

Prize: $150mill 

I do not personally code or hold events like this, usually, but this is what I would do: 

I. How would it work? - Do it similar to a layout contest, only instead of them making a layout, they have to design by code.  You can give them the image you want coded and say what you'd like in the code {like text effects, functions, looks and colors, etc.}. Then give them a deadline as to when to do it. 

II. What's a good prize? A good prize for coding, would probably be an Upgrade from either 6 months or a year. Right now, that's a big demand, so that'd be something to tempt coders. 

Basically you list what you're looking for as far as image/coding style/theme and such. It's good to give examples of things you like. I think a $150 million prize is pretty good. You can advertise it in the advertising chatroom or here on the forums. 

i'd enter lol, 150 mil is pretty standard prize for a layout contest but as this is a coding contest with what i assume to be a already made image its a bit easier so maybe 100 mil plus a 1 month upgrade/custom image.

Equ - I'd love to offer a 6 month upgrade, but I dont have the Real life money for that, or i would definitely offer that as a prize.

TBG - Yes there is an image already made. Already resized and has the text on it and everything. (I was originally gonna code it myself, but i hate coding my own layouts. Makes me end up hating it) But like i told Equ, I dont have the funds for a 1 month upgrade, or i would, which is why i added the extra 50mil cause that way they could just buy the upgrade themselves. And i'd do the custom image thing but currently, my tablet pen isnt working properly. or i would offer that as well. and since you'd enter, keep an eye on this seeing as im going to update it with what i want and such.
