What are peoples thought on Exclusive horse stock?

I've got alot of photos unseen from the public from what i do with my photography, and i'd like to offer it to a few artists exclusive rights to it. 
Just wondering who would be interested.

I think out sounds awesome and it's a good way to earn income

I personally know how amazing your photography is and I feel as though it would be a great source of income for you - and the winning bidder will be very lucky!

On one hand I think it's a great idea for the stock provider. It's an additional revenue and a little reassurance that your work isn't going to get stolen.

On the other hand it can be a little discouraging to artists in my experience. One of my favorite stock providers went exclusive and since I can't really afford to pay for her stock I had to stop using her. :/

Seriously though, there is nothing wrong with protecting your stock and increasing revenue with stock sales.  At. All.  

However, as Chao said, it can be difficult if every single pieces costs money.  :/  We be poor.

could do in slots of 5 or 10 photos so people get more of a bang for their buck and you still get lots of money istead of doing individual sales

Personally, if I can't use the image I want right when I'm making something then I'll find something else. This goes for images that have watermarks and/or need to be paid for before being used. I just don't want to have to wait to hear back in 24 hours. I wouldn't buy an image in advance either just because I never really know what I'm going to use when I start something. Anyway, that's my two cents.

 with the stock I havent quite sorted out pricing and details. but i'd like to offer between 10-20 photos per lot.
Price wise you'd be able to buy with RL or HPD. now i do have alot of photos. so it depends on what people really want.

thats understandable trig. This Exclusive stock is for HP players only. depedning on how many people are interested and what not, I'll be doing up a few lots of stock (to show you i'll just upload them and put them into a folder with a sample logo over it and then people can choose i guess?

at for price wise, what would people feel comfortable in paying?

At first, I was thinking this would only be something an artist would benefit from. But if some are separated by breed then I can see a non-artistic person could by a pack and then have someone make images from them.

You wouldn't be able to accept USD for them. Not if you're offering them for use on HP. Not allowed to advertise things for real money.

If i sold 5 pictures for -5mil
10 pictures for 15mil

and 20 pictures for 25mil. Does that sound decent?

I think that's a good start. May want to do the occasional stock batch in the graphic auctions to see if you need to adjust that higher or lower based on the economy.

I'm not able to pay for images either, but if this was HP currency and the image was something I really felt I could use, I'd be interested. Good luck either way (:

Perfectly understandable though - In fact recently, there had been more artists who had their artwork stolen to the point DeviantArt themselves submitted a "Red Alert Theft" notice. Of course it was merely just waving a finger to the theives {like that will stop them} and with your photography there's no reason to NOT protect it! These could be sold offline as actual prints or home-style artwork. 

However, I do agree 100% with Trig - I do not want to pay $45 for a watermarked image or 100 DA points just to download it. And for me, it is EXTREMELY hard to get any replies from authors. They will either ignore you or they're not active, therefore you've wasted time and lost out on stock. I've had many authors on DA for years allow any use of the stock: references, manipulations, line-art, pre-cuts, etc. Now-a-days, those abilities are set only to exclusives members. 

I support your decision whatever you choose and I may possibly try it :D Just need money first.

I wouldn't buy exclusive stock for real money, since I only make manipulations for game currencies.

Would you be willing to sell maybe 1-2 pictures to someone? As opposed to 5-10 pictures at a time?
