Okay - So since last night I posted about the HP Studbook, I wanted to know what you guys thought about it so I decided to open up a discussion to it. I also didn't get into complete detail and I have a few extra add-ons to the the idea:

As we're all aware by now, you can now find in Search any breeder of your "Breed Speciality" - The downside to this however, is that it shows everybody, including players who have quit or are completely inactive. I also browsed last night and I found the "find studs" of AQH's; for starters, there is only 6 pages. Most of the horses who have semi-decent points are 273 years {or somewhere inbetween} old, beyond breedable.

Now, let's say you're a rare breeder - If you have even less pages normally, it'll probably be very hard or impossible to find a stallion from another line. Your only option is to buy a ton of store horses. Not saying that's bad, but if you're hoping to import new and quality bloodlines into your prodigy, that's more than likely not going to happen.

I have seen a lot of people in the "New Feature" discussion, wishing for more competition between breeders and I completely agree. I feel that getting the highest pointed animal on HP or the best quality lines is far too easy anymore, compared to what it was in '13 and earlier in the day. That is why I want to suggest the HP Studbook, in hopes of gaining said competition back between breeders.

The HP Studbook could replace the Associations {should they be removed} and it could list any breed of the game of breeders willing to put their stallions/male dogs to stud. Below are the guidelines I find to be reasonable and would draw great interest. I think too, this would also be a good income for serious breeders and would definitely get their money's worth. Quality lines, competition and show-winning babies - It's a win/win situation!

How it could work is that you could have a blank form {similar to those of layout makers when you fill it for an order}, only instead, you're adding your HP stallion/male dog's information. This would be the sire/dam, any known bloodlines, current age & points, etc. I also think it would be nice to have links of babies from the chosen male as this would show the average points of babies and the overall quality from the sire.

The easiest way to pay for this, I believe, would be the same way we do in graphic auctions. You click the horse/dog you want then you put in the information; to be fair, I think the lowest price should be the asking fee of the stallion/dog, {i.e say an Oldenburg stallion with 2mil at 8 has a stud fee of $100,000 - Then this would be the lowest bidding price.} then breeders could go above it anytime they wish. Then the rest would follow like the graphic auctions, you talk via messages to settle on a breeding date/age and go from there. I think you should also have the same $25,000 fining system like auctions, just to prevents scams and such.

Now, I know you're thinking that inactivity is inevitable but what if it was monitored like the clubs & associations are? So therefore, you would be pruned should you not be showing any logging in activity or training within the past 3 weeks. You would have to re-register if you wanted to be back on the list. This would ensure that all breeders are active and are willing to ship out their lines.

For points? I think that there should not be a point by age system to get into the Studbook. I think that it should be a required starting breeding age & points only - now, it is your choice whether or not you wish to exceed but these are the minimum requirements. Again, this ensure quality livestock to the community but also encourages competition. It'd also be one amazing bragging right too to have your stallion/dog on the Studbook! I also think that there should be ranking lists by the amount of points your horse's have. Such as:

o Platinum Ranking - A horse/dog with this rating has a minimum of 100mil points and a maximum of 200mil points.

Gold Ranking - A horse/dog with this rating has a minimum of 80mil points and a maximum of 95mil points.

o Silver Ranking - A horse/dog with this rating has a minimum of 40mil points and a maximum of 65 mil points.

o  Bronze Ranking - A horse/dog with this rating has a minimum of 20mil points and a maximum of 55mil points.

Sorry this is a novel, but this is just my two cents and a very in-depth idea of mine..Not sure what you guys think though..

For some reason I have a hard time visualizing what this would look like but I like the idea. Seems like a good blending of player involvment and animal breeding/point competition.

people generally dont list publically from what ive found, i sure dont.
i have breeding rules listed on my page.
if i have found something i like i click then go to the owners page and start a dialogue
i like having "rare" lined horses so not sure how much i would participate in just a add x to x and hope a breeding happens. kinda cancels out the making friends part?
also i think you need to be WAY more realistic point wise when doing an example.
we really dont need any crazy pointed animals like that here i dont think?
