(Why do we not have a computers/technology section of the forum?) So, as you may know, I broke my old laptop and had to get a new one. On my old laptop I had Photoshop CS5, and I have a disk for it and everything. But the new Macbooks don't have disk drives. Soo, I don't know what to do? Does anyone know? I haven't looked around on Adobe's website yet, so I will do that, but I thought I would ask here in case someone knows. |

You can download it online directly from Adobe and put in your serial number from the disc you bought... I had to deactivate Dreamweaver from my old computer though in order to put the serial number on a new computer. The only problem you might run into is if Adobe doesn't allow CS5 to be downloaded anymore, since it is older. If that is the case, I would just get on the phone with Adobe and I am sure they could walk you through it.
Your other option is to buy an external disc drive from Best Buy (or wherever).. usually apple is a bit more expensive and they are like $70. This might be worth purchasing for the future, though. I hate that new computers don't have disc drives! So annoying!

Buy an external disc drive. That's what I did. You can get them for like $10-$20 |

There's also just Creative Cloud, but that'll be a monthly sub. I don't know if they give you a hard copy disk though... Link Tree |
