I've been working on a new and super improved help page for HP. It's going to be really long and in-depth with tons of things like FAQ's, requirements to add a breed, become a mod, keep your association, etc. and tutorials with screen shots of training with helpful hints, etc. Is there anything you think should be in there? |

How breeding works and what ages are the best to breed?Let the players know that there will be times when a breeding fails and to do a backup foal/pup.Maybe a suggestion area on how to play too. |

Ah, see I didn't even know that O_OI was also thinking of adding a list of players that want to be shown online or offline (depends on if the player wants to be shown)but it would help a new player find their first friend!Imagine it. Player gets done signing up and what's the first thing a new player does? Right off the bat they'll go to the store and buy an animal without reading the tutorial on how to play the game. So maybe after they sign up, there's a list of potential first friends (online people who have their settings on to be shown that they are offline/online) and you can have the page saying "Hi there new player! Want to make your first friend? Take a pick out these players online! Have a question? They may have the answer!"O_o? |

There's a page in the suggestions forum listing the many reasons why an online list really won't work for HP. :PBut training is definitely something that will be in-depth (more so then it was) in the new help page. |

Let's see what Sam thinks about this. All players should have the option of participating in an online list especially for the new players. |

I dunno.. Over the past few weeks i've seen a lot of newbies come into chat and ask questions or introduce themselves or both.I still just don't think an online list would work. Even if it was optional. Trouble makers and trolls aren't going to know it's optional, and if they see the online list with no mods on it, they're going to take it as a green light to troll away. If a troll decided to post obscene words or links or anything inappropriate and it just so happens there's no mods actually online, that could end pretty badly. Plus, some of them can get pretty mean, and none of our players should have to deal with the things trolls come up with. If none of us are online, we can't stop it, and that's not fair to the players. We try to have mods from different timezones so to have someone online all the time, but sometimes there is a gap between when we're online.Sure most of us are contactable via aim or our phones or aim through our phones, but usually at those times we're either working or sleeping or just plain busy, and I don't think trolls and trouble makers are a risk we (we as in ALL of us, players as well) should have to take for the sake of convenience. |

I've posted on the thread suggesting a public online list, I don't think it's a good idea for the reasons I've stated there. |
