Absy Got A Puppy

Soooooo in the event you aren't on my Facebook, I got a puppy just under 2 weeks ago now. Full blood German Shepherd whom I have named Rackham (after the infamous pirate Captain Calico Jack Rackham). He is almost 13 weeks old now and is seriously the best thing ever. He is SO CHILL. Even the vet couldn't believe how well behaved he is. I was like "I can't take any credit for that he's just that awesome" lol. I've been wanting a Shepherd for I can't begin to say how long and so I finally just said you know what? Now is the time. And I got him. :)

He is a floof puppy!! Lol. And that second picture was the first day he was here at my townhouse. He spent the first week I had him on the sailboat *let me tell you about housetraining on a sailboat....* so he was trying to figure out what a cat is. He still isn't sure hahahahahha. Murdy, he does have a pedigree, but I honestly don't know it. He is pure and I have papers to show it, but I didn't get him straight from a breeder. So I really can't tell you anything except his parents are from Georgia, his dad is a black/tan Shepherd, and his mom is white. That's honestly all I've got. Oh....and he'll probably max out around 90 pounds. One of Ryan's friends got his brother, so playdates are in the future for sure. I'm currently trying to get clearance to take Rackham and Ryan's dog Tesla up to Cedar Key next weekend for the big pirate invasion. But I'm thinking since he's still a baby, it would be a better idea to leave him home since his immue system is still developing and all of that. Don't want him getting sick out there since we're camping. And yes, zillions more pictures to come! |

Thaaaaank yooooooou! I'm having fun with him. The only thing I'm slightly worried about is how mouthy he is, but I'm chalking that up to him being a puppy (he's almost 13 weeks now) and that he will grow out of it. I try to make him stop when he gets mouthy with me, but nothing I do seems to phase him. So I guess I'll keep at it and hope he grows out of it. It has been 15 years since I had a puppy so I'm kinda relearning what it means to have one lol. |

Absinthe - The mounthy-ness is just a teething. Kaiser was the same for a while but when his teeth stopped bothering him he stopped biting. It just took a few weeks. No he just "pretends" when we are playing. |
