I can't recall if I have told you guy sabout my hobbies. I love photography, hiking, swimming, getting lost (on foot or on wheels, I really go out and try to find adventure. Rarely do I actually get lost). But I also do beading and crocheting. About to expand that further into Embroidery, sewing and quilting. I was thinking about opening an etsy shop and custom orders, but I think that would take the fun out of it. So for now, I just make stuff for me and my family and for fun. I may sell the for fun stuff from time to time but eh.
Anyways, this owl hat has been on my too do list for ages and I finally did it to distract myself from a bigger project (an blankey)

blankets suck. I know haha. i have a mini twin (twin length just not width) that I finally finished and still need to weave all the ends in what yarn did you use? does it shed alot? I have yet to master anything other then blankets and my own made up weird stitch haha i tried making a tunisian crochet beanie which ended up failing miserably (way to short) and I just never tried again, again blankets got in the way :) |

I actually made this for my five month old daughter (and to practice before making one for my best friend's baby because her nursery is done in owls.. I made it 6-12 months, but because I crochet tight (it's kind of a curse) it barely fits my daughter.
She sure is cute though. ;) I just started making other things this year, I only did blankets for the longest time. I have a micket mouse set to work up here soon (booties, diaper cover, hat, blankey and maybe a lovely). I can't find patterns I like so I am going to freehand them.
I hate hate hate weaving in ends. : I'd love to see a picture of it though. |

I'll have to take some during the week so I can get good outside light :) im also in the process or making a nursing cover/scarf done in Tunisian, not sure of the stitch, again I tend to make up my own. I'm sure there is a title for it since it is rather basic but yea :) |

I really want to learn the Tunisian stitch, but I am having a hard time finding a good written pictures and I do not do well with videos. I am also trying to learn how to do the c2c and graphgans. If you have any good ones, let me know. ^-^ Thank you Peike! Here is my baby blankey I made for my daughter. I thought it was a DC all the way with a simple TC border, but turns out that when I picked up my hook after around 6.5 years of not touching it to start her blankey, I made up my own stitch. lol!
Currently side project: Can you guess what it is?
First ever headband, Premi sized. Sitting unused in my top drawer. XD I am thinking of donating it with the stack of hats I am making for the Children's Hospital for Christmas.

http://www.mooglyblog.com/top-of-the-tunisian-infinity-scarf is the scarf I'm working on. But I mixed in the basic stitch every other line.
http://www.purlbee.com/2013/04/14/whits-knits-tunisian-crochet-washcloths/ Is how I learned and is the basic stitch I used for Tunisian |
