Chinese Crested Dog

The Chinese Crested Dog is a majestic breed that is believed to be African in origin. They are related to the Mexican Hairless, or Xoloitzcuintli. CCDs are recognized by the AKC (as a toy breed) as well as many other breed General info (with some sensitive info) Chinese Cresteds are a toy breed weighing 10 to 14 pounds that can be both hairless and furred (or Powderpuff). Though the Hairless trait is dominant, all CCDs carry the recessive Powderpuff trait-a CCD zygote (pre-puppy) will abort itself if it carries a homozygous Hairless trait. I want to gather a group to breed these majestic beauties with me. They are by far my favorite breed. I would breed these.Interesting fact though, they're *not* actually related to the Xoloitzcuntle at all. People thought they were for ages and ages, but recent DNA studies have proven that the Xolo was not used to develop the CC.
