I'd like to first start off that the launching of my business, has been a success! Peopleat the shows are beginning to learn who I am, my business name and are fascinated with my work behind a camera. I've also gotten countless comments at how well I handle the horses (both in photographing them properly in perspective and getting their attention), which quite a bit in my area do not do. I have also sent out copies of the photos from the Keuring this Sunday to two farms (One was as far as Ft. Lauderdale! Thank goodness for internet!) and they loved them.

With that being said, I have been offered to photograph at the SSBC's Open Western/English Pleasure Show. In total, there are 102 classes and it is sponsored by the ARHA, ACAAP, Arabian OEIP, PAC (Paint Alternative Competition) and PtHA OCAP.

BREEDS THAT ARE ATTENDING THE SHOW:

o APPALOOSAS

o AMERICAN QUARTER HORSES/QUARTER HORSES/APPENDIX QUARTERS AND QUARTER CROSSBREEDS

o ARABIAN/HALF-ARABIAN/PINTABIANS & ARABIAN CROSSBREEDS

o PONY BREEDS (MODEL PONY CLASS ONLY!!)

And I'm sure that there are many more breeds attending that I have not been told about! Does this sound interesting for you guys to see "behind the lens"? Would you like these breeds for stock images, if approved? Let me know your thoughts!

I just love a pretty stock horse in proper English pleasure turnout. They look so classy and refined.

@ Maharet - Finding you a QH should be no issue as on Saturday, the show is STRICTLY set to Western Stock Breeds only. On Sunday night, I will be sorting through images of stock and non-stock. Any stock allowed will be put in my DeviantART (which I can message you of that night if you wish) page. Anything non-stock will have my business' watermark and be placed on my website. But, I should be able to find what you're looking for next weekend! :) 

@Chaotic -  I agree. I love seeing a Quarter Horse in english tack; they're very elegant and classy but I'm not sure if QH's are appearing on Sunday as well. I know that the English Show is based on Arabian/Half-Arabians (or Pintabians) as well as model ponies. That is all the descriptions they give regarding breeds, but I should be able to get some english stock horses though for you. 

@Tron -I'm very excited to do this too! I'll be posting pictures after the show when I come home, I promise!
