Ok! So, I know most of you are aware that I have been in a new relationship since April with an amazing guy named Ryan (seriously...amazing doesn't even begin to describe him but it will work for now lol). Along with his day job of being a commercial diver who does underwater yacht maintenance, salvage work, and other things, on the weekends, he and I get to dress up and run around as pirates. And he actually gets paid for it. He gets paid for various performances, from live steel demonstrations (aka sword fights) to black powder (cannons, rifles, pistols) and even fire. So, why am I posting this thread you may be asking? Well, honestly I know a lot of my friends here are interested in the shenanigans we get into when we're traveling and doing these shows. So I figured a thread about it might be nice so you guys can sorta keep up on what I'm up to! We travel at least once a month for various pirate festivals and renaissance faires and I try my best to get photos and videos while I'm out. October 22-25 we will be in Columbus, Georgia for the Southern Pirate Festival at The National Civil War Naval Museum. The actual festival is on the 24th and 25th, but we are getting up there a couple of days early to set up camp and all of that. 

IF YOU ARE IN THE AREA! Please please please feel free to stop by! We will be there with the hosting pirate crewe The Cursed Few and I would love to say hi to some of my HP friends in real life! This goes not only for this show but for any shows, whether we are just here in Florida or if we are in neighboring states. I plan to update this thread every time we have a show so if people are in the area and want to come check it out they have the chance to do so. I will also flood this with pictures and videos and stories galore!

Ok so! For those of you keeping track...this evening Ryan and I will be hitting the road for Georgia and the Southern Pirate Festival. Currently I am wedged in between a pillar and a trash can at Barnes & Noble on the floor because they have ONE OUTLET in their cafè and some butthead is sitting there on their iPad or whatever and not using the outlet that I need to charge my laptop.....but I digress.

Hoping to get some good videos this weekend of the fire shows and swordfights so I can share them here. Granted my digital camera has been shot for I don't know how long (since Cedar Key a month ago at least...) so I will be relying on my phone and if I can't charge it all weekend I might not get much. But hopefully I'll be able to make this work. Stories will certainly abound when I get back. I will be back in town here Monday night but probably won't update this until Tuesday. So stay tuned for the crazy!

Southern Pirate Festival 2015 Recap:
Holy crap what a weekend! The crowd was tiny but that's because this show has been dormant for like 2 or 3 years and they didn't get enough advertising out. But that's just something to build on for next year. It sure didn't stop us from having a freaking blast. We got into trouble, we ran my red bloomers up the flag pole of the enemy camp (THAT was hilarious, and they caught the breeze waaaaay better than I thought they would), we even commandeered the bicycle of a very confused cop. Luckily he was a wonderful sport lol. Below are a few choice photos from the festivities and I'll post videos here in a bit once I get them off of my phone and over to YouTube!

That fire breathing is awesome!  I love that he calls himself a professional idiot.  I had a good chuckle over that. lol

xD yeah....that is always funny hearing him call himself that. And yes, that accent he is speaking with is all part of the act. It's a Welsh accent he actually learned from a Welshman, so we know it's the real deal. It's all part of the Flannery persona ;)
