How do you create a ghost horse? and also how do you shade and highlight manes and tails drawn on? I've been wondering this for a while now :)

As for the hair question, I'm very fond of this brush http://chaoticxinsane.deviantart.com/favourites/12168185?offset=120#/d1gj1v6And then just looooooooots of color picking off the original mane and tail, or at least off the body of the horse. The rough edges of the pencil brush makes it blend a little bit easier and look a little more natural than your usual hard round or specific "hair" brush. As for how to shade, practice. Practice and just training your eye. It's something that comes with time. Same with just how to draw the hair in a way that it flows naturally, even if it's unnaturally long. Link Tree |
