Show Entry Fees

Not sure if this has been mentioned, and Im also not sure if i'm maybe missing something. But when I go to enter shows it doesn't show an entry fee on the main page, like you have to click on the actual show to see the entry fee. I just found this out today after I was entering public shows that were $3000 for an entry fee. Which if you are just starting out, its kind of a bit expensive. Is there anyway you could show the entry fee on the main show page, so we dont have to take the extra step of clicking on the actual show which takes you to a whole different page? Just a thought. |

Good suggestion! I've also seen some people make shows named "Auto Show" (priced at $3000) to make people think that it is the $100 real Auto Show. Not very nice!! |

Wow I haven't come across that yet! But I will definitely look out for it. Thanks :) |

In response to that, is there anyway HP could consider making a rule where you can't name your own shows "Auto Show" to prevent this from happening. I think its pretty shallow and shows unsportsmanlike conduct when players do that. |

If you look over to the Player Name after the show name, it will say Humane Association (or Alliance...can't remember which). If it says that, then it is an official Auto Show. If not, then it isn't. That just requires you to scan the entire page first. I don't find it to be unsportsmanlike conduct or shallow at all. Annoying, sure. But not that extreme. All that means is you need to pay a little closer attention to what shows you're actually entering. I'm back to doing manual entry on my shows instead of enter all on one breed as it is my secondary breed on the account and I accidentally entered 2 private shows by mistake because I didn't look. Am I mad that those shows popped up? No. That was my error for not looking carefully to see if it was a private show or a public show. It's an easy mistake to make. So if you just want to enter the Auto Shows put up by the game, I suggest clicking on the last page of the shows and working backwards. It would probably pull up more of the results you want and have less chance of finding a show you don't want to enter. |

In my opinion it is very unsportsmanlike. They are purposefully naming shows to "Auto Show" to trick you into entering thinking that it is a $100 fee, not some expensive show fee that new players can't really afford. I don't see why someone would name a show that unless to trick people into doing that. It's very rude. |

I really don't think they are intending to trick people. I could be wrong, but I just don't see that as something anyone on here would do. |

The default of the show name when you create one is called "New Show" not "Auto Show", thats why I believe they are using that as a tactic to trick people. As much as I don't want to believe that someone would intentionally do that, people can be mean. |

Yes I did just change my response here as I checked and noticed I misspoke. But again, I do not believe anyone is being malicious on this game. I have been here for 4 years and the only people I have known who were malicious like that were banned permanently from the game due to other, larger issues where they were actually breaking game rules. This is not a rule they have to follow. People can name their shows as they like. Which is, again, why you read over to see what the name attached to the show is and just avoid them if they are not the Humane Alliance setting up the auto shows. Live and learn. But also, if you have your breed specialty set up and can do the enter all shows, where the dropdown says "Random", you can click it and select less expensive (or least expensive...whichever it is) and that way you will be entered into the shows of the lowest price and won't have to worry about those $3000 priced shows. The shows can get that expensive so that players can get the maximum amount of money when players enter. Yes, I know it is very expensive for someone starting out, but that is why you seek out the Humane Alliance shows specifically at first so that you know you are paying the lowest price and can then save up for the more expensive shows. I have played games with malicious players before. I know how to spot those people 20 miles off in the dark. And I know the vast majority of the community on this game and can tell you they aren't like that here. We are like a family and are always willing to help other players out, which is what I'm trying to do by giving you advice on how to avoid those shows that may be mislabeled or whatever. Am I saying I know each and every person? Not even close. There are probably players here I don't know and will never know because they don't interact with a lot of players (which is totally fine...everyone plays their way) and they may be the ones naming their shows thusly. My point is simple. Specifically seek out the Humane Alliance shows or use the enter all drop down to guarantee you will enter the lower priced shows and then save save save for those more expensive shows. |

Although I understand your concerns and where you are coming from, I think the great majority of breeders are upgraded and use the enter all for shows. So with that being said, with enter alls most people aren't looking at the names of the shows when they are entering since it's automatic.
But that is a really good suggestion that is being looked into! |

I still am not seeing where the default name of public shows is "Auto Show", ive double and triple checked and every shows default name when you go to create it "New Show". |

I agree that this is a friendly community, but there are a lot of players that you probably dont know of. Doesn't mean they are bad, but some people may do things that you wouldn't expect. I respect your opinion, but I still believe that people who name their shows "Auto Show" may possibly be trying to trick people. |

Also I never said naming your show a certain way is a rule. I said maybe it should be looked into to become a rule, but it appears as if the whole "Auto Show" thing doesn't seem to happen often, so it shouldn't be worried about. But I appreciate everyones input as far as this matter goes :) |

I agree with the idea of showing the fee.
I also just create shows, I don't name them. So it's just "New Show" and yes, I do charge 3k entry fee. I know that has to be hard for new members. When I first started I just upgraded and used the enter-all. I never paid attention to the entry fees : |
