Im pretty sure a Palomino is just a colour not a breed. There are a lot of breeds that have the palomino coat colour, but I believe just a "Palomino" does not qualify as a breed.

Not sure if this has been brought up before, and I apologize if it has.

It's more of a type than a breed, persay, but it is both a color and a 'breed.'

What blue feather said.  We went with a list of breeds and added all the common well known ones, and added others so long as they had official registeries.  In this case the Palomino does have a registry and is considered a breed. ☺

It's still recognized as a colour on there as well. Its a colour associated with different breeds.

It most likely has a registry because it is a rare and uncommon colour that people are trying to preserve.

We have considered this a breed on HP for years now and it's not being removed on techincalities.  People enjoy breeding them, and removing them is a moot point.  Not to mention disappionting long term breeders.  We have several other breeds that aren't even real (Nightmares, Thoresians, Halloweenies, Unicorns, etc).  We also no longer trim breeds, so once a breed always a breed since we added in the master list of breeds 6 months or so ago.

We value every player's opinion, but at this time and in the future we will not be removing breeds.  Sorry!

That's fine, I understand where you are coming from. Im not asking you to remove it, I was just curious as to what the status was on a breed that you guys had that wasn't a breed. It's also not a "Technicality" it's a factual in a matter that it is a colour and not a breed. I just wanted to bring it to HP's attention, but thank you for your time. 

If that was the case, many other breeds would also need to be looked at. 

I haven't been through all the breeds so I wasn't aware of all the fake breeds. I just saw that "Palomino" was listed as a breed and it threw me off.

This is a game and it would suck to seem them go as there is active breeders. 

Once again, I never asked for them to be removed, only curious as to why HP had it as a breed.
