From now until the last day of fall (December 20th!) we are going to have a Breed Spotlight and Giveaway for a rare (to HP) horse breed AND dog breed.
Hackney Pony
"Hackneys standing under 14.2 hands, or 58 inches at their withers, are considered Hackney ponies. These smaller Hackneys are primarily featured in the show ring. There are five main divisions that ponies show in, with differences being in their size, show ring performance, and mane and tail appearance. Each type is dynamic and exciting to watch in the show ring." Source.

German Shorthaired Pointer
"Male German Shorthaired Pointers stand between 23 and 25 inches at the shoulder and can weigh anywhere from 55 to 70 pounds; females are smaller in height and weight. The coat is solid liver (a reddish brown), or liver and white in distinctive patterns. Built to work long, hard days in the field or at the lake, GSPs are known for power, speed, agility, and endurance. The overall look is often described as "noble" and "aristocratic."" Source.
