Lots of players have mentioned to us in messages and in surveys that they would like to see some people modded who aren't and also have some input into who should be on the staff team. So we've decided to put out THIS NOMINATION BOX for people to fill out (make sure you read the rules!) to nominate someone who they think would do a good job. We aren't doing this publicly because we don't want this to be some sort of popularity contest, so please answer in this forum, read the rules, and be fair. we aren't necessarily modding someone right now, and don't guarantee that if we do it will be YOUR specific choice (since lots of things go into a modding besides recommendations and we can't mod everyone), but we wanted to give people a chance to have their ideas heard since the staff team affects the entire game. If you do NOT have a specific person in mind, but have criteria that you think we should look for, you can post that as well. |

I think the mods chosen need to be online atleast once everyday...i know there are a couple of mods who are barely on or not on at all |

Because mods are volunteers we only ask that they be online for two hours at least four days a week - although we prefer that they're on more, we do understand life getting busy, haha. However, several people ARE working on their activity.That being said, that is sort of a separate discussion :P. |

If you take a look, every mod/admin has logged on at least once today (except liato, but she's on a totally different time zone from hp and I saw her online last night). A lot of things are done behind the scenes, so just because someone may or may not be in chat all day doesn't mean they aren't around... and like Sam said, some of us are working on our activity and trying to be around more often :)Though yes I agree, activity is definitely a big thing, since you need to be logged on to be able to help out and such, and being in chat is definitely an important part of that. |

I know some who'd like to be a mod :P I was a mod for HL for a few years. It was fun yet highly stressful...those brats. It makes me a bit nervous thinking of being 'turned'.....*insert creepy music here* :P  |

I'm sure Sam would ask all nominees if they'd be interested in being a mod, seeing as its a big responsibility to uphold. Not just mod them because they'd like to be a mod xP |

I think it would be neat to get some mods from different time zones of the world, that are on in those *weird twilight hours of the day*. I'm sure there's some out there already though, but it never hurts to have more I guess. I also think there's a ton of mods already, I often come online to huge mod chains in chat, so I think really, this game is pretty awesome with the amount of mods already, but I don't really know what's going on/how stressful it is behind the scenes, I'm just saying as normal HP civilian lol!  |

I'd love to see some mods from different time zones, but to find someone that fits the qualities needed to be a mod is hard. As an admin, I'm going to fight tooth and nail against modding someone just based on where they live, you know? :/ |

I would love to be a mod again.. I loved being one, my life just got in the way and I didn't feel I was online as often as I should have been to help out. Now I have time every night to be online. :P |

No the point is kind of anonymity so no one feels bad that their friend didn't nominate them or something. But only like 4 people have even left a suggestion, so not really anyone has filled it out! |

Adranth, of course you wouldn't pick them out JUST on where they live... I think there's a few players who are very dedicated and come from another timezone, just as much so as people in the states are. They might not be in chat everyday for hours (like I am, cause.. well... chat is my refuge from hours long boredom of my night job ahah) but there are fantastic players out there. Does a requirement for a mod need to be that they are in chat a lot, or can they be online and monitor chat without always talking? Just wondering, because it would affect who I'd nominate :) |

They need to be well known by players, that usually comes with being in chat a lot, but not necessarily. |
