I've only been training for a few months now and I've noticed that my horses get points almost immediately when I enter them in shows that are set to run the next day. However their unrun count will display the 20 classes I've entered that day. Then the next day my horse won't have any additional points and the unrun are gone. 

Here's an example: Today is monday, 1pm PST. I enter Joey the horse in 20 classes that will run Tuesday. Immediately after I finish entering all 20 classes, I see he has 9,000 more points. His unrun count on Monday is 20. Come Tuesday, his unrun count is 0 and he has no more additional points. 

Is this right? Is it a bug?

 You gain points as you enter shows but also when shows run at night. Typically they run around 1:00am HP time if I remember correctly.

the original post says their animal is apparently not gaining anymore points after the shows run. which would just mean their animal isn't placing, i guess? I forget how many places get points in shows.. but it's unlikely their animals would NEVER place. 

*facepalm* Deleted my reply. Haha!

Okay! Good to know they're *supposed* to be gaining points two times. I'll keep a close eye this week and see if I can replicate the no-points-on-second-day issue.

From the help page "First place in a public show is awarded 2,000 points. An upgraded player with their breed specialty gets 3,000 points for first place. Points awarded progress down from there, with 50 places being awarded points."

So if you are not placing in the top 50 places of a show you will get no points, only the entrant points, aka the 9,000.

Seems weird that your horses would NEVER place. Try manually entering unflooded shows & maybe entering them into club shows too!

I was curious and clicked on one of your horses, diva, and they have at least placed some. are you sure they weren't gaining more points? 

Update! I think what was happening was this: the bug that let Basics enter 80 shows a week yielded higher points for me. Post-bug-getting-fixed, I'd enter 70 classes on Sunday, see a big point increase from the entering shows, then I'd see smaller increases each day, sometimes none. I think this was a case of me 1) getting used to 70 classes/week point yield 2) not realizing points were awarded for entering classes.
