Sorry I have been so MIA! The past month or so I have been really sick.. I had a chest infection that turned into bronchitis.

Monday I was rushed to the hospital with servere right lower abdomen pain. Initially doctors, and paramedics were worried I had ruptured my appendix(around the time I made the fourm post asking for account help). After a CT scan and other tests, it was concluded by Jan 26th that I have an autoimmune disease called Ulcerative Colitis. It is similar to Crohns Disease, but UC just affects the colon and not the entire GI tract.

So with that being said, I am on medications now. Hoping to get my life back to somewhat normal state. I am alittle sad about the news but I am trying my best to turn this blah situation into one where I can grow from. I wouldn't normally share so openly about it but I know i have been so MIA for a few weeks and wanted to say..

IM STILL AROUND ^_^ I didn't die yet lol ♥

Oh and if anyone else has anything similar I would love to pick your brain.. I feel so meh hearing this at 24 years old.. :( 

Peike, I am so sorry to hear about all the craziness and this news of your diagnosis. 

I can't relate to well to having something like that but if you ever need someone to talk to/pick someones brain on maybe ask Arachnid? I'm not sure if she's got anything like this but she def has quite a few of her own health issues and is very open about sharing & offering support.

My cousin's wife has UC. I know it's a struggle to get under control for her, but I don't know what all she's done. I think my mom may have it. I can't remember what my dad told me. She went to the ER recently and has yet to say anything to me about it. I've heard it from other family members.

I hope you can get it under control and quickly.

I'm so glad you are feeling better and out of the hospital.  I'm sorry to hear about your diagnosis.  Hopefully, you can get in a routine quickly and you can learn to manage everything.  Good luck! ♥
