So in light of our new HP update, I thought it would be fun to share some of the things we remember about sim games from the 90s and early 00s.

For me it's the crummy fading of two images together and calling them pro pics (I'll admit, I was one of those). Or I also remember picking out the perfect song to auto play on your page!

Making witty "away" messages on MSN messenger and AIM...staying up all night clicking and entering shows on HL...AOL. Lol. Chat rooms. I too was a ~graphic designer~ with my paint shop pro 8. I remember how BAD I hated cutting out horses using just the eraser tool. That was the worst. RPGs...man. Seems like so long ago! 

Omg!  I remember having AOL and logging in and hearing you got mail!  I then remember when you could also download themes with different voices and I picked a Silence of the Lambs theme and everytime I logged in I would hear Anthony Hopkins saying Hello Clarice.  It was creepy haha.  ALSO badly cut out (erased like Nyt said) and slapping it on a HL purple BG.  I Have so many of those!  I WAS SO PROUD!

I remember colorful AIM away messages, horseland before its stupid days and always being grounded. (I can't think of anything else at the moment haha)

 HMF back in it's hayday. Staying up all night to play on HL and talk to people. "Pro graphics". Rping in talk. Talking to oodles of people on aim and msn. Writing notes for HL in a notebook, which includes lists of names, pedigrees, votes, etc.

Yes to the MSN away messages! And those text converters to make them ℓσσк ℓιкє тнιѕ. Everyday after school I'd plop myself in front of the computer and wait for my 6th grade boyfriend to stop playing xbox games and talk to me. xD

On HP I remember starting Orlov trotters and Danish Warmbloods because I thought thats what all the cool people were doing.  I remember changing my player name a handfull of times searching for the perfect name that would make me sound "elite'. Pro pix everywhereeee. I was Aquarian Fantasy Designs. lolz.  

Throwing wayyy back I remember watching the awesome TV shows in the afternoon like Authur, Wishbone, the Big comfy couch and other PBS classics. sigh. Those were the days.

I remember using auto miner to train on HL. Arena people and chats, HL trolls and making fun of n00bs 😂😂 remember thinking i was like one of the best graphic artist on HL.. LMAO no i wasnt. So full of myself. imaps omg! Remember thinking 100k animal was such a huge acomplishment bwahahaha

As far as life out of the internet.. not much.. i was grounded 90% of the time. 

DUDE CHOCOLATE SOLDIER DRINKS! SURGE! AND OMG I WAS SO IN LOVE LOVE LOVE WITH BACKSTREET BOYS AND NSYNC HAHAHHA

IMAPS!  I was big into making those!  I found some stuff in my photobucket of old IMAP layouts I made!  THEY WERE SO COOL AND I WAS HOT STUFF! haha

I remember using a program called Picture It that came with our computer and it taking hours to make pictures but being so proud of them lol. I remember rescue stables on HL where players bought really cheap horses and then kept them for sale while training them trying to make money off of saving animals when it was usually just a waste of time lol. I had a penpal that I got through Young Rider magazine named Natalie that I completely lost touch with :/ although she was the one who introduced me to HL.

Here lately, I've been thinking about my papa. :'( Thirteen years yesterday. 

Um but I remember having to sneak into my parents room and hope that the dial up (AOL) didn't wake them while it connected so I could enter my shows in secret. xD 

Oh embla. I learned everything from that site.

I remember having a low digit account on HL. It was #985682. I joined that stupid game when I was 13 I think? I remember selling it for HL money.... I have no idea why. Then low digit accounts became HIGHLY sought after... and I was so upset and tried so hard to get my old account back hahaha. Never worked, but oh well. I also remember forever wanting those "pro pics" with the HL purple. I don't think I ever got one. I remember also having photosphop on my wishlist like forever just so I could make and sell the pro pics myself lol.... though I never got that. My love affair ended when I re-invented myself and called myself "Ditz". I bred Chiahuahua's and I got them over 100k points. My first pair of 100k animals ever. However I forgot they were dogs and could only be bred until they were 16. I left it too late and all my hard work went down the drain. I was so devo I actually really DID cry lmao. I'm 31 and still playing sim games. Such a tragic life XD but I love them so much! I really only play this game, Small Critters (SC) or Horse Isle.
