Hello There!

Hello everyone! Soooo I stumbled across this lovely site last night, signed up, and had just enough time to take a glance around before I crashed....and I was very pleasantly surprised! I started out a long time ago with sim games, back when HL was plain and simple, and I'm very pleased to find that HP seems to be set up very similarly. :) I'm super excited to get started on here, though I'm not yet sure what to specialize in.... Anyway! A little(or probably too much, blah, ignore my ramble...) I'm 21 and currently reside in a lovely little town just southwest of Chicago, Illinois. However, I was born in Austin, Texas and have also lived in Montana and Washington State. I suppose I could say I'm a bit of a Gypsy, with 11 moves and 12 houses under my belt in just 21 years. xD I've always had a deep love for horses, though currently I no longer have any horses or ride myself. When I was younger I rode and competed in English, Hunter Jumpers to be specific though I've always loved Dressage as well, for about five years or so, and a had an absolutely fantastic and sassy buckskin Morgan/Arabian mare named Topaz. About three years ago however, due to money problems, we had to rehome her and though to this day it still breaks my heart to think about, I know she is living a wonderful and happy life on an absolutely gorgeous ranch in Oregon. Currently, my life revolves around my Four and a half month old Maltese/Yorkshire Terrier mix named Tilly(my only current dog, though I've had dogs my entire life), my Leopard Gecko Phoenix, and my 15 lovely Betta Fish(I'd name them all, but that would be a long list xD). My hobbies are Aquarium/Fish keeping(which I've done for the past four years), Knitting/crosheting, writing(which...is the reason for this long and probably annoyingly detailed post), photography, photoshop, web design/coding(which I am incredibly rusty at), cosplaying, and generally being just an unbelievable nerd. xD As soon as some health issues are dealt with I hope start perusing a career in Web/Graphic design. :) Anywho.....thanks for dealing with my ramble, and I look forward to getting more into the game and being a part of the community! :) If you have any suggestions about what to specialize in(horse or dog....you know, just what breeds seem to need a little more love?), let me know!

Wow a old HL player! Welcome to HP! :D Yes, you should go unicorns ^_^Thanks for introducing yourself! I'm Mari and I used to be a loyal HL player until the 'change' :( I'm playing as my old HL name, Marixel.Animals age on Sundays so you may want to wait until then to buy your choice of animal ^_^ just sayin!

Welcome to HP! You'll find a ton of old HL players here :) Hope you find your way around! If you need anything at all don't hesitate to ask! There's "newbie" help listed under the help section of the header to get you started with all the tips and tricks! :) Enjoy!

Oh, thank you all so much for the warm welcome! :D Its great to be here. Still getting on my feet of course, but so far I'm enjoying the site quite a bit! I'll definitely be signing up for at least a six month upgrade as well I think. Thank goodness for spare babysitting money! xDHaha, I'm not surprised to find lots of fellow old HL players here! This site seems to similar to the older days over there....its bringing back some fantastic memories. _>; ), and I did lots of manips an layouts and such way back then, but I was never too super active in the community...I plan to be on here though hopefully! You guys are so friendly! xDThanks for the breed suggestions too guys!! I looked into Unicorns and Pegasus actually, but ultimately I decided to at least start out with Persian Arabians. I love Arabs, but most of the time on most sites there are so many of them I feel like I should stay clear of them...but the Persians seemed to need some love. xDStill thinking about dogs....I didn't notice a Maltese/Yorkie mix so I may suggest that, but poodles sound interesting as well. o:xD And yes, I'm a cosplayer! Been cosplaying and going to cons for about four and a half years now! :)Anywho, thank you all again for the welcome and offered help! I certainly won't hesitate to ask questions if I come across any, and I really look forward to getting more into the site and making friends! :)
