I've always wanted to start my own jewellery company and now have the foundation and knowledge to do so (I worked in the jewellery sector for several years, took courses in gold/silver smithery and gemology) but I need some help with a brand name!

I would be working with sterling silver, 9ct white/yellow/rose gold and titanium jewellery (pendants, rings, bracelets etc) and gemstones. Any and all designs.

Any ideas? Something pretty and catchy! Very vague I know but if we all put our heads together I'm sure we'll be able to think of something! < 3

I'm no help. I don't wear jewelry aside from my rings from the mr.  It takes slot for me to wear my fitbit and my ears are 3/4in so cute little things are pretty much out of the question:(

I guess it depends on how serious you're looking to brand yourself. I always suggest getting to know your local maker community by going to little craft shows and the like. I've met a lot of people over the years by going to conventions and chatting up vendors at our local Rennaissance Festival and that's what inspired me to start making jewelry, too. A lot of times you can find little ma and pop shops that will sell local artisain work on something of a comission, too.

You're working in precious metals and the more high-end materials. What kind of jewelry are you making? More traditional looking forged jewelry or that kind of rougher/rustic look?

If you're just looking for a paying hobby, I've been suggested to start an Etsy. At the very least I think that's a good place to start and get some customers going before moving up to something a little bigger.

As for what I like, I'm definitely someone that likes rougher rather than fine jewelry. Natural semi-precious stones. Unfinished or destressed metals. I basically come in either Goth, Steampunk, or Boho, so. LMFAO
