I think it would be a lot easier if a horse is automatically entered when the show host accepts the horse into the show. That way for people who buy spots in many private shows don't have track down which shows they've entered and hit the "enter now" button once they've recieved the acceptance message. Also makes things go much faster for players who own multiple upgrade accounts and entering their own private shows. Beneficial for shows that run on short notice too in case a player doesn't log in on time to enter their horses into the shows that they've been accepted into.

I believe the whole reason that this isnt implemented is it makes the game too easy. There needs to be some challenge and Time consumming part otherwise everyone would have high pointed horses and we would be bored.

I'd love for this to be the case, but I also understand that you have to grind to get somewhere in these types of games. It's just an absolute pain at the moment with timezones for me because I end up being at work when some privates are accepted/created, and I don't always catch them in time to enter before they run. Something I need to get better at.

Edit: also I don't think it's the grind stopping a lot of players from entering privates. It's probably more so the price x)

I think what Zad said is true and honestly, it's the price but also hand requesting & entering 100 private shows a week is a pain in the butt but I've still got around 8 to 10 horses that I'm doing in 50 to 100 privates weekly. It's a pain and some weeks I don't want to do it at all but the points vs. cost pay off is worth it to me.

I completely agree with Zad on this one! Requesting/accepting/entering private shows is definitely a pain in the butt but it's a decision made by players.. Ya know, they could just sit back and enter 20 public shows at a time and be done within 5 minutes. Good suggestion but I just don't think it should be implemented because it would make the game too easy :}

I agree that private shows are a grind and maybe that deters people, but you do have to have funds for them before you can be detered and if you have the funds for them, you're probably used to grinding somewhat already? Anyways, for me it's not about the grind. It's kind of the fact that again, today, I've had to find time during work to enter shows because of the time zone difference. At the moment I have to sacrifice work time to enter, or HPD to pay someone else to enter, or high pointed animals by not bothering to enter all together. And comparitively, the 'Enter Show' phase is easy - it's just having the time to do it. I think this enhancement would eliminate the disadvantage caused by time zones without really touching on the grind? Plus it ensures that the money you've paid the player and the time that player has put in and the time you've put in already isn't wasted because you couldn't finish the final part of the process. I'd even pay for it... But that's just me.

Would be awesome if HP could implement time zones so I had my evening to do these things, but I think that would require far too much of a change to how HP runs right now.

While I agree that the timezone difference sucks, that's really not a reason to take all of the work and effort out of the extra points we get from private shows. It's not supposed to be easy. I'm in Australia and there was a time where I was training a dog in full private shows every week, while I was working 10 hour days at work. The time I had between when the show hosts accepted requests and when I started work was sometimes non-existent, and I worked in a factory with no access to HP at all during work hours, so it made it hard. I paid someone to enter the shows for me if I couldn't get to them myself.

I don't know, I like the sense of achievement I get from busting my hump to get shows requested and entered on limited time. Makes me feel like the extra points are that much more worth it.

Ultra I completely understand your timezone issue. Like I personally can not buy spots in Myst Shows. The time that they are accepted just does not work into my time zone at all. I think Im pretty fair to the people that Enter my shows - Make shows on Sunday early morning and accept by Tuesday early morning, But that wouldnt work for everyone. 

I like Shae, really like the sense of achievement I get from my privately show trained horses excelling, and I dont think I would get that if it was too easy.

and what happens if someone isn't supposed to be in the show and is accidentally accepted? doesn't leave much room for fixing it... I agree with what the majority have said about it not being necessary.

I am basically going to echo what everyone else has said about the necessity of grinding, but ALSO what Tera said about accidentally accpeting horses/dogs and then not having time to fix it, which is sometimes an issue on HP.

It's a great idea! However, although it would be convenient, I just don't think it will work in practice.

It would suck for me because I have shows run the following week so I enter some for the current week as well as the next week so my show schedule is everywhere. I also make shows to run 7 days so everyone has plenty of time to enter or if they chose to wait they can still enter Sunday or after change over with no problem

What if you could purchase an enter all button? Like, how you purchase extra shows a week, have an option to buy a button to automatically enter your horses into private shows?

I think what's mainly concerning people about the automatic entry is that a) it takes out part of the work a player has to put in to earn the benefits of private shows and b) allowing automatic entry can cause problems if a player is accidentally accepted into a show.

My solution to that would be to allow the player selling the show, the option to enable automatic entry for the players they're selling to when they create the show. Because the show hoster would be exposing themselves to some risk, I'd also let them charge a fee for players to use the feature. To keep the grind in place, it wouldn't so much be 'automatic entry', but rather you'd, say, get an option to 'Enter When Accepted' once you've requested spots in a show (so where you'd be clicking 20x 'Enter Now' when you're accepted, you'd be clicking 20x 'Enter When Accepted' options once requested instead). Then once the player hosting the privates accepts, your horse/dog would be entered automatically.

The original flow where you have to request, accept, enter would still be available without the extra charge, and the player requesting shows would be accepting the risk that they might not have time to enter.

But that's just my final thoughts on the topic. I've decided I'm happy enough jumping through whatever hoops are needed to get my babies pointed x).

What about an option for check boxes by horse/dogs, so you can request for however many horses or dogs you are putting in the shows at once? So a click the boxes, and then request selected, and maybe even at some point, and enter selected option? you still have to go into every show and request/enter, but kinda like for tickets or our messages. :)
