How many points qualify a dog or horse as low quality, average, and high quality? How do I help my horses and dogs reach their highest potentials? |

I tracked points on store bought horses a while ago. It gives you an idea of the average points gained each week until they were bred at 20 years old. There were just put in 80 public shows a week, no special training or anything. Generally speaking, the standard goal is 1mil points for horses and dogs on HP. Anything above that would be considered above average. You'll see some people that go way above and beyond and get animals with points in the 3, 4, and 5mil points range and up, those require private shows and using training tickets to boost points. For someone just starting out, aiming for 1mil is a great starting point. I love helping new player figure out the ins and outs of game play so feel free to message me if you have any more questions.

Store bought horses and dogs entered in only public shows (at 80 or 70 shows) per week can easily reach 1 million points by retirement (and probably even breeding age). Horses and dogs with pedigrees can also easily reach 1 million to 1.5 million points by retirement (also, only entered in public shows). I think those are well-off, good quality points...or about average. Especially for a new player, entering your animals just in public shows while you build up your money is a great way to train and to start establishing your lines. If you want to have a horse or dog be higher quality without breaking your bank, shoot for 2.1 million points. This shows that you put some tickets into your animals and also a good amount of private shows (which means you'll be putting in more money too). Your probably training them on an upgraded account with their breed specialty. If you want to have the amazing, above and beyond animal aka a project animal, that takes A LOT of money and a lot of private shows and tickets. You're also probably going to buy the extra energy from the Cash Shop and any "extra" you can get from there. This is a great forum post for reference: here As for having your animals reach their highest potentials: private shows always help with points. Tickets help a little but not as much especially for their cost. Registering your animal in clubs also gives them a little point boost (and you may even win HPD!). Also, breeding at 20 years for horses and 15 years for dogs will get you the highest pointed foal/pup you could get from the breeding pair before they retire. Also, you just have to make sure that whatever training regimen you decide to go with, that you can also finiancially support it. So, for example, don't buy a really expensive layout in auctions and then you can't afford to train for that week.
I hope this helps! |

Also generally you can get to 1.2-1.3 and sometimes 1.4 with store public enter shows if you pick and choose shows :) |
