So last week the girls from work and I tried our hand at making cold brew coffee. It was actually really easy and very good if you like coffee. I made the coffee following some tutorials on pinterest. Mostly you're mixing 1 part coffe grounds with 3 to 4 parts water. Let it chill for 12-18 hours and then filter the grounds out. We were mixing the coffee with milk, sugar, and vanilla. One of the girls even make "coffee cubes" in Star Wars molds so when they melt it's not watering the coffee down.

Here's the tutorials I followed:

Hahaha that sounds great Trig! I personally very much dislike coffee, but if I did like it, this would be something I would try!

Ohh! I've always wanted to try this but didn't want to waste coffee if it didn't work, haha. Did the sugar mix into the cold coffee okay? Also, did you use a French press, or how did you strain the grounds out?

I have a problem with the "wait 12-18 hours" part...I'm very impatient, lol.

For the sugar, she dissolved it into a syrup first so we didn't have to worry about there being a pile of sugar sitting at the bottom. I used paper towels and a metal strainer basket that I set on top of a mason jar. It takes awhile and I switch out the paper towels a couple times due to the build-up.
