A sound alert whenever someone posts in the chat. Toggleable incase we want to turn it off. That way we can surf other pages, keep chat open, and know when to check back.

And, gift items in the shop that we cannot purchase for ourselves. IDK exactly what. Things that players can buy for their friends or other players who have helped them with something. Somthing to show a token of appreciation or friendship.

Maybe it could be items that give a small amout of help to the recieving player's animals. Or even just icons that show up like achievments do that symbolize things they have done. Ways to recognize a player for having been gifted or appreciated for one thing or another.

For example, I have had a few players that have/are helping me with things, and at little to no charge, and I really would love to find a way to show my appreciation and recognize them for it!

I think the chat sound is a great idea (as long as it can be turned on/off, obviously). One of the mods actually just auggested it a few weeks ago! Haha. Great minds think alike.

That's a cool idea! Kind of like something you can only get from other players through helping them. Sort of like reddit gold?

I don't know what reddit gold is though. But if you only get it through helping other players, what an inspiration it would be for people to be as helpful as possible!

Though, the members here already seem very happy to help anyone who asks.

Both of these suggestions sound cool, and the notification sound could be handy. I'm almost always doing something else in a different tab when I'm in chat. I'd like to hear more about the rewards for players helping out, though. I, as well as many other players I've met here, don't necessarily need an incentive to help out, but it's always nice to recognize people for doing good!

What if we could also make the tab flash like FB does when you get a message?  That way it can ding, or if you are muted you can still tell someone posted?

I like the chat sound/color tab idea a lot. I think it's kind of a fun to be able to buy gifts for other players. Though as other players have mentioned pretty much everyone is willing to help out without an incentive. :)

Definitely everyone is so generous and so ready to lend a hand. It just would be nice, and fun, if we could do something to recognize those who go out of their way and above and beyond for others.
