The two classic ones I know of are naturally Metallica's cover of Turn The Page by Bob Segar and Jonny Cash doing Hurt By NIN. And... Basically half the songs by Marilyn Manson I actually like are covers.
The violinist David Garrett does AMAZING violin covers of everything from Michael Jackson to Nirvana.
Panic! At The Disco did a cover of Queen's Bohemian Rhapsody that is everything.
Post Modern Jukebox takes modern pop songs and performs them with old timey jazz, swing, gospel, and other retro flairs. And they are amazing.  Link Tree |

I love that Ain't No Rest for the Wicked cover! Cage the Elephant is one of my favorite bands, and even though that's one of my least favorite songs by them, the cover is amazing! Haha. |
