So I just returned from a trip to California to try to find a new horse after I sold Chips, I was able to find two really good potiential horses that I wish I could afford both but I can only afford one. There names are Herbie and Ben.

Herbie is a 2005 bay holsteiner gelding that stands at 16.1

Ben is a 2007 grey irish sport horse gelding that stands at 17.1

Both have gentle/calm personalities and fit what I was looking for perfectly. I'm vetting Herbie first since he's in my budget where as Ben is a little out of it, but I'm willing to pay his price if Herbie doesn't vet out. I'm super excited about all of this, so I thought I'd share with you guys about the experience.

Herbie arrived today, he flew in from California. He's settling in well and getting use to his new stall.

He's got his own facebook page too, just like Chips had. You can find it by searching "Hollywood Love Bug - Herbie"

Herbie's been in Hawaii for over a year now, when he first arrived rain meant the world was ending and puddles were these strange things on the ground. He's come a long way to the point that he might protest slightly with rain that's like little bugs hitting him (sprinkle rain as we call it) but if it gets harder it's no longer an issue for him. I'll get some when he arrived pictures to nowaday pictures of him posted =D

He did come to me about 200lbs under weight, when we tried him he was about 250lbs under weight and the trainer at the sales barn had only had him back in her program for 5 days, he was also under muscled. She had told us that she wouldn't normally show a horse like this, but she felt that he was exactly what we were looking for and he was, I'm every so thankful that she decided to show him to us.

Sadly for him, his previous owner lost interest and they got cheap with taking care of him as to why he was in such a condition. I of course spoil him rotten, he gets very talkative when it comes to food which I think comes from what he went through and it's hard for me not to cave and give him more, even if he's already eaten his meals.

Going to update more on Herbie after I get the pictures up, I've got like over a year's worth of stories to tell you guys if you hadn't been following his page, if you have oh well, I get to brag about my horse more =D

Herbie sounds fab and he's fair landed on his feet.
