Because of this .gif: http://imgur.com/gallery/7UbTv I learned that equines curl their tongues and use them as a sort of straw to suck up water. I thought they sucked water in between mostly-closed lips! 

Edit: Actually, it seems I was correct kinda. Some horses do drink as I thought, and some do what the equine did in the .gif.

I've never watched any of my horses drink water, they just shove their faces in, haha. But I love that GIF! Before I realized it was multiple animals, I was like "Oh no! The horse is going to get attacked by bees!". Haha, I'm glad it didn't!

I knew one horse that loved to blow bubbles after he had gotten his drink. He was a silly goober!
