I've very recently become the breed ambassador for Oldenburgs and after some searching for other active breeders of the Oldenburg, as well as Oldenburgs under the age of 20 that are currently active, I decided I wanted to try something. There's a lot of projects going around trying to make breeds more popular and I thought, why not try that myself?

This project will be known as Project Bogdanow and it will have two parts:

  Part A:

Back-ups foals from all my current lines will be given away to anyone who is interested in starting Oldenburgs. These foals will be 3rd generation, for the most part, so the lines are a bit established. These foals will be given away on a first come, first serve basis. 

The back-ups breedings will be on different dates in the future, but I'm working on compliling a list of pairings and their planned breeding dates, which I will post here. The original post will be updated with this list when it is finished and I'll provide links to foals as they are born and show which pairings have already bred and which ones have not. So, there will be a list of future breedings, a list of current foals for sale and a list of past breedings, regularly updated. 

 I'll be keeping note of who gets which foals, because I'm interested to see how they do. 

 Part B: 

The second part is basic enough. I'll be buying a few pairs from the store and training them to a certain amount of points and giving them to anyone interested in starting Oldenburgs. This will also be done on a first come, first serve basis. I'm thinking of starting with 3 pairs from the store and training them to 500k, then giving them to good homes. 

I figure I'll wait a week before buying the store pairs. I want to get an idea of the kind of interest there might be - if any.

Depending on how much interest there is, a limit of lined foals per person might be created and also depending on interest, you might have the choice of a lined foal OR a trained store pair. Again, these things depend on how much interest there is.
