So, I wanted to start learning how to code and how to make graphics! I have used Photoshop before, but was curious as to what other programs people used to create their graphics here? |

I use Photoshop CC and a Wacom Bamboo Tablet to make graphics, although I haven't actively made anything for a couple years. I haven't got a clue about coding though, so I'll bump this for you! |

While there are some people who have built their own codes {i.e Memorie and Fintron are the only two that currently come to mind}, many people on here prefer to code with JSFiddle or Toxic Scribble {the best examples for these are Chaotic and Aoi Haru Designs/HP Helper}, but you can also learn code through various different websites. I learned what I like to call "foundation code" on several sites: Quackit, Code Academy, W3Schools and HTML.com. They're excellent for learning how codes work, how to break them apart to know what does work/what doesn't work and the like; from personal experience, I strongly recommend you start on Quackit and W3Schools first before moving on to Code Academy or HTML.com tutorials because they can be extremely overwhelming and intimidating if you don't know the basic groundwork how-to's of coding yet. As for what programs to use for graphics, there are various ones you can use, the most popular choice is various versions of Adobe Photoshop and GIMP on here. Photoshop allows a free trial to check out their system before buying it, but if you do not {or cannot} download/purchase these, you can also use free browser ones like Pixlr or SumoPaint, which are similiar to both but do have their limitations. Truly depends on what you want to do for your graphics.

Thanks for the comment Ade! I don't have a tablet, so I will probably just stick to Photoshop. I was just curious to see what else was out there! |

I use Photoshop CC. I've always used PS (just older versions back in the days, ofc). In the beginning I used Corel Paint Shop Pro, but that's soooo mnay years ago - idk if it still exists xD lol
Oh, and I also use a Wacom Intuos 5 tablet. A tablet is absolutely a must have when it comes to graphics and Photoshop (in my opinion). |

GIMP, Photoshop CC, and a Bamboo Pen & Touch tablet I've had for a loooooong time. My coding is all done from my own base code/from scratch (which is why I get so irritated when people decide to steal it!) |

I use Photoshop CC and my Surface Pro 8! Learning to code I would recommend codecademy.com :). |

Thanks everyone! I've been using GIMP and that's working decently so far! I think I definitely will invest in a tablet at some point. |

I Use Photoshop CC and a Wacom Tablet. I also use Sai for all my drawings as I feel it gives a better/smoother line. |

I downloaded GIMP once but it did not work well for me. I have ps7, pse7, and corel paint but I only ever use ps7. I got a copy free from my mom's coworker so why not use it plus I know it works well! |

I remember on HMF how they used to put up the latest free (not legal) download of PS. Good old days :P |

I've always used photoshop for my graphics, but I've started to use FireAlpaca (which is free!) for my digital paintings.
As for coding, I've always just done it by hand in notepad. Some references I've always liked though are from https://www.w3schools.com/ (you can find basically everything there), and then I test my code on practiceboard.com . Link Tree |

Do you have to pay monthly for Photoshop CC? |

Yes, I pay 9.99 USD for PS CC, you can get that with the Photography package they have. It'll come with PS CC as well as Light Room, and you get all the new updates, like when they add new fonts to their program c,: |

I use Photoshop CS6 for everything outside of cutting out stuff...for that I use my ghetto old Photoshop 7.0 :P
for coding I either use notepad or do it right on the page. |

I also use photoshop CC. But as far as tablet goes I use a turcom which is much cheaper then wacom and works just as well with the same sensitivity levels. As far as coding is concerned I do not write my own but have a couple codes I am able to tamper with. Have taken codeachademy lessons and hoping to write some of my own code in the future. |
