So as you may know I have a tarantula problem. As of Wednesday I'll have nine of them now. However only 5 have names. Meche, Iktomi, Varric, Persephone, and Shiva. 

I need edgy names for the rest! I like mythological ones. Nerdy ones. Etc. For example Meche and Varric are named after video game characters, and Iktomi, Persephone, and Shiva are all gods. Gender doesn't matter. It could be years before I know if these baby spiders are going to be male or female. 

Incoming I have a Brazilian Blue, a Colombian Giant Red Leg, a Trinidad Olive, and a Brazilian Red and White (who is likely to be a cranky jerk so I wanted to name it something villiany)

I like them. They're pretty. And a few are cute. My Avicularia urticans (I don't know the common name, since tarantulas are almost always referred to by the scientific name in the hobby) will look like just... A purple ball of iridescent floof that kinda has legs with little pink feets.

That blue one is awesome!! I never knew tarantualas could be colored like that!

I'm terrible at names. =X But maybe Azul for the blue one? - which is Portuguese/Spanish for blue...I'm a very color-oriented person when it comes to names haha. xD

 still like the blue one :)

Greek god/goddess names:

•  For the blue one: Poseidon , god of the sea. Fitting since the little baby is blue. 

•  Hypnos, god of sleep ;
• Iris, goddess of the rainbow, messenger of the gods ; 
• Hecate , goddess of magic, crossroads, and ghosts . 
• Artemis, greek goddess of hunting, wilderness, and wild animals ; 
• Anubis , the jackal headed god from Eygptian mythology .... 

I also am quite great with space themed names: 

• Saros : a period when eclipses repeat 
• Callisto :  the name of the third-largest moon in the universe. The name is inspired from a nymph who fell in love with Zeus in the Greek mythology
• Vulcan :  the name of the hypothetical planet whose existence was questioned by the scientists in 1915 
• Ophelia : the name of a tiny moon in Uranus. This moon was named after a character in William Shakespeare’s play Hamlet.

And finally, cool video game inspired names : 

• From Zelda! : Epona , Saria , Majora , Kratos 
• From others : Samus, Aerith , Tidus, Sora, and Thane .

I laughed way too hard at aza's comment. I don't have any suggestions and whilst I'm not a huuuuuuge spooder fan they look really cool!

I don't have any name suggestions at the moment, but it took me far too long to figure out what "Spooders" were until I actually clicked to the topic. xD
