I was playing Furry Paws and I saw that they have a few mini-games that you can play a set amount of times per day to earn cash prizes. They even have automated blackout bingo rounds that start every 10 minutes! I realize that if this suggestion were to be accepted, it might only happen much later. I think it could be good especially for new players who need to earn money to get their lines started.

There could still be regular bingo for when there are extra-awesome prizes, of course.

I was just merely pointing out that some were saying mini games would make it childish, but in all reality hp is childish...but we love it all the same! 

Honestly if they get added it wouldnt be mandatory to play...

And if they were to be added just think if you were like 5k away from a goal and you needed just that much to hit it and you didnt have the means to make it before retirement(no more show health or hpd for tickets)wouldnt you want an extra way to earn those points?! Or a quick way to earn some hpd when you really needed it?!

I agree with Aza lol. We play a horse game, we're all a little childish already, in that sense xD So yea, as long as we still get to use HPD and the rewards for the games are either HPD or points, then I'm happy. And I like Zad's idea of achievements for those who get high scores.

Hahaha I agree with Aza! We are adults playing a kiddie game as it is. (Don't get me wrong, I adore the nostalgia and reliving my childhood and playing this game) 

so! I vote yes! Because quite frankly I spend a good chunk of time on here daily, just because why not. So, I think adding mini-games with rewards and achievements would be great! It adds a way for people to make a little money, adds competition for the highest score (and I'm competitive af) and could add more achievements (which I love because I'm trying to get more of them). I think mini games would be a fun addition! And I think they would be just that: an addition. Not a game changer like everyone fears.

I feel like we could add some small relaxing games to win some extra cash. It's almost impossible for a new player with no art background to make a buck here without pulling out their wallet, and that's an important thing to consider. But I'm feeling more brain teaser puzzle game type things. Jigsaw puzzles. 2408. Mahjong. Tetris. Sliding puzzles. Bejeweled. That sort of thing. It would feel a little less "childish" than some other flash games, maybe?

I can see Envi and Cas's point of view because we don't want to loose something we love. My gut reaction was the same until I read some of the suggestions.

Yes! This can not become the main way of getting currency (looking at you HL). I also like the idea Sam suggested of having a cap per day kind of thing so that way we don't have an unfair point gaining or money gaining system (for those of us who work and would not be able to play all day every day). 

I guess I'm trying to say that I'm for it as long as it doesn't become main focus of the game.

Yes, I love Chao's idea of games - otherwise I'm neutral to the idea. I can see both sides and am more leaning towards no unless they're not weird kiddie games. Yes, I am 26 years old playing a horse game but I put a lot of money into this horse game that kids can't do haha.

It definitely would not become the main focus of the game, or even something that you needed to do. I hope that everyone has enough faith in me at this point to know that I won't change the entire game's mechanics overnight ;). Or ever! I'm much more interested in adding new layers to the game, new things to do, new ways to earn money/points, but I don't want to take away what makes HP, HP.

To start, we would probably have a game similar to tetris and a word-find game where you find as many words in a grid as possible before time runs up. Eventually if those do well, I could comission custom games like a 2048-style game, and a collapse-style game (like the apple game, basically). We could also potentially do puzzles or something similar to bejeweled.

The art would be custom to us and easily changeable, so no worries on the cartoonish styles. I would probably start with putting in a generic background and then have something comissioned that matches HP's style.

Not sure what part of the menu they would link in. Community maybe? But they'd be on their own, separate page.

I think community would be a good place to put it. And of course we don't think you would just flip a switch on us, but I think it more comes from a concern about the type of audience that would be pulled into the game (i.e. bratty children) and that changing the game. BUT that shouldn't be a problem because HP went back to being 13 or over correct?

As far as mini-games bringing in younger players, I don't think that this would change the overall audience of HP, because the game itself is still the same and still requires a certain level of maturity to play.

Although, it would be good for the game if some younger players (with lots of spare time on their hands!) joined HP and referred their friends. Teenage years is when most of us got addicted to sim games.

I'm down for games! As long as they only reward minor prizes, I see no harm in implementing them. I'm also going to suggest a weekly prize wheel that can reward anything from HPD, points for an animal, HPB, or even 1 day of upgrade status. My suggestion of weekly is due to everyone going through their accounts at least once a week as it is to make their shows and collect their banks.

A rankings board would be fun and would encourage competition and we could probably add achievements for those who've made top 5 of each game or something similar.

Oh, and as a side note, if there is a rankings board and rewards/achievements related to it, I think it is really worth clearing it out every so often (monthly or quarterly) to allow more chances and keep it refreshing!

I support this! Once training is done for the week it would be nice to have other little things to do on the game. If people think games make it too childish I suppose we can call them brain challenges instead? :p All jokes aside, I don't think games will make this like HL unless they also come with a cartoon and a complete shift in gameplay.

over all its not like its manditory to advance within the game, just extra fun perks

I like Chao's idea for thekind of games. I also like the idea of making money from it. Useful to replace the loss of show earnings, and good for anyone who has no upgrade, to make extra money.
