Ok, so I've never had a project animal on HP before, but have always wanted one! I'm thinking about making Rackham my project since he's named after my real life Shepherd and I think that would be a fun thing to do. But as I've never done them before and I know going rates for shows and tickets, I have to ask. How the heck do you guys fund these projects?! I have 10 sets of dog tickets that are my own that I have used for the month of July on him and he just turned 3 yesterday, so I was thinking about a de-age...but then where do I go from there?? I don't think I have the RL money to sink into upgrades for others right now *I'm lucky I have my own accounts upgraded at the moment* and since my Mac died and my Wacom tablet is in storage somewhere *not like it matters since I don't have Photoshop anymore* even attempting graphics is a no go right now. So I'm just trying to see how you guys do what you do with these gorgeous project animals and see if I even have a shot at one or if I need to wait a little longer until my finances are better.

you will need a good chunk of funds depending on your point goal...

tua(21miller) cost around 22 billion, limitless(12miller) and commander(11miller) cost another 22 billion...

topanga my 9miller pit cost about 8bil(that's hpd and upgrades I used for payments)

elwynn I think has cost us about 5-6bil? since ticket prices aren't as much as they were when I did topanga..

Remembering Ziggie was probably close to 18bil I'd say...

put it into a money account and dont even log in.

just transfer it and forget it

sell your show spots!
200-250k per dog 

and 500k per horse

in the end you end up with more money with spots then you would selling the whole show

maybe plan it a few years out. 

i personally like my upgrades over projects so all my hp income goes into re-ups

Maharet, I love the money account idea. Never even thought of that one. And I literally forget I have shows that I can sell spots in lol. 

I definitely will plan it out a few years *and generations* down the road. I think that will be my best bet right now. You guys are awesome and appreciated for the insight!!

While you're gaining your money you could spend some time recreating his lines so when you're ready you could do a retirement breeding or something :)

I like Maha's idea of a money account.

I'm not a good saver, so when I was training my 5miller I would replenish my bank account by selling upgrades which I wouldn't advise doing because it ends up costing you a lotttttt of $$$$$$.

But definitely sell your show spots, sell your votes, offer any services you can and put the money onto another account! What kinda project are you thinking about doing? Pointwise, how many generations time etc?

yea i have my money on my retirement account. but i also frequent it A LOT 
i also dont save for anything but upgrades but every now and then i get super tempted to hit up graphics when layouts come out just because i know I have the money sitting

if you do a money account i would make it a basic, so its not overly important to log into (less bank and what not/no private shows/tickets to deal with)

If you don't want to fire a hole in your bank - save!

That's what I told myself I was going to do after coming back to HP, but I've started sinning again. Still, before you commit to anything, I'd do a bit of research and figure out your goals and how much it would cost right now to do the project you want.

1,000,000 points = 267 sets of tickets.

267 sets for a dog tickets at 150k is 2bill.

267 sets for a horse tickets at 200k is 2.6bill.

Private shows at x100 a week per animal can average 4mill in points (x100 requires extra 20 energy from Cash Shop). x80 shows would be more like 3mill in points.

Horse show spots seem to be going for 400 - 500k a spot. That's 40 - 50 mill a week x100 shows, 32 - 40mill a week x80 shows.

Dog show spots are around 250k. That's 25mill a week x100, 20mill a week x80.

Upgrades right now will get you 200mill for a six month. They are 15 USD.

I won't bore with anymore calculations (lord knows how correct they are), but yeah, it's expensive! Maha's suggestions are 100% the better way to go. Regalia (current project), I have totalled, will cost me about 800$ (AUD) to reach her goal (I don't bother calc'ing HPD because I just do upgrades). Technicially if I invested that into my own upgrades, I'd have 40 upgrades and be making bank with show spots and tickets. And that is 100% the smarter way to go, I think. If you can do it that way, definitely go for it.

Harlow has been costing me so much! I definitely recommending taking the time to save beforehand, I had over 1bil saved, but quickly i had to raise funds.

I may wait on starting her until i reach the 3 digit billions or close to it...

I am in the same boat I want to do a Stabyhoun project. 2 breedings one for myself and one to give to someone else to get the stabyhouns more interest. So I got a savings account on here. been trying to upgrade as many accounts as I can to help raise money
