What if we were able to tag someone in original posts and also in forum post replies? Kinda like when you see something on Facebook and you tag your friends in the comments so they see it.

I like this idea in theory! It might get kind of hard though because people change their names frequently and spell them differently and some of them are very long. It's easier to do this on forums where usernames are set in stone. Maybe tagging by ID would be better, but then you'd need to know people's ID's which wouldn't be super efficient?

I like the idea!  Maybe it could tie in with your stable buddies for a predictive kind of sort of like the messages?  So even if you don't know their ID by heart they would pop up and you could pick?  I have no idea how hard that would be to implement or how many resources it would be for a forum feature.
