For many years - on and off - I have tried to do a blog with little success, as many of the topics I started with apparently were not interesting to people. It eventually came to the point where I lost my drive just writing nothing for 1 person. I took a long, long, long hiatus from blogging but as of February - March of this year, I have wanted to go back into doing blogging again, but I do not want the blog to end up like my past failures.

I have really been wanting to a Farming-type guide blog, as so many of us on HP have animals or want to start them in real life; having been a self-learned farmer for almost 13 years of my life, I know how hard it can be to get started. The things we learned the hard way, I wish we were told to point us in the right direction and that's exactly what I'd like to do, as we all e kindly share advice "through the grapevine" about animals anyway. So say you wanna make soap but don't know how, you wanna raise chickens but don't know the best feed or something, the blog would be like a guide to help you get started.

I do not know how interesting this would sound to anyone, but feel free to give your two-cents on the matter! Also feel free to leave suggestions on other things you'd like to see, I'm all for it! If I feel enough people would read it, I'd definitely start it :)

It is really an interesting topic to me because I actually read a lot of farming blog posts that I come across on Pinterest! There are so many people that are interested in backyard farming, actually owning and operating a farm of whatever scale, or just learning new skills to be more self-sufficient, where different perspectives and suggestions for people to use to make their decisions is super important.

I have a blog that I'm slowly trying to get fixed back up and running again. The blog theme is mostly lifestyle/parenting, but not super exclusive to any one theme, so topics for me would be any DIY projects we do, kids activities, places we've visited, my photography, reviews of products we've tried, posting about our pets, basically anything I want to do. xD

I would LOVE this. I'm from Nashville and this is a big thing around here lately. Especially with chickens/farming/cooking/natual healing and your experience with it.

I've also pinned a few posts about backyard farming and some other things about being self-sufficient. I dunno if or when I'd ever do something like that, but it would still interest me to read about how people run farms.

Love it! My husband and I own backyard chickens as well as a bee hive even though we live in an urban area. Eventually we want to own a couple acres but for now, we have to work with what we have. I would be very interested in reading ideas on how to bring farm life into city life, particularly with gardening and small livestock.

I'd love to read it!  I've always wanted to own several acres someday :D
