New Dog!

Joel and I got a dog at the Humane Society a couple of days ago :). His name is Sully and he's a 5 year old black lab and pointer mix! So far he's been really, really good! He's well trained, well mannered, and loves everyone! We did find out last night though that he may have been debarked :(. We thought he just didn't bark because pointers are trained not to since they're gun dogs. But last night I asked him to "speak" and he made all of the motions and stuff, but no noise came out :(. He was surrendered with another dog (her name was Lilly, and she was a retriever and alaskan husky mix), and we would have loved to adopt her as well, but our apartment is tiny, haha. Their old family was having another baby and decided they couldn't keep their dogs. But now he's got a wonderful home with us :). And so far he's been really sweet and good. He even gets along with my cat! Look at him!

Oh man he's handsome! and they usually wait to let any of their true noises out till they are comfortable with you I have noticed, at least since I did some foster care :) |

Yea my childhood dog dan was the quiet one at the shelter until we got him home, he was the most vocal dog ever haha. Loved him to pieces though! |
