Hi everyone, I'm new here and while I get most things since I played HL, I don't really understand private shows! I know people sell them as a whole and slots, but can someone elaborate a bit on the process of entering, what is generally the accepted rates, how many slots to sell, etc. I have read that it is a pain to enter private shows, is that just because there are several steps?

My sister introduced me to HP but she's never been an upgraded member so she can't help me on this one! Thanks!

Also any other tips you have for a new player would be greatly appreciated!

Private shows generally have 10-12 spots in them, I only allowed 10 in mine.

So long as you talk to the owner, pay the price asked, and request by the deadline they give you - the acceptance rate is pretty high. 

I don't think they are a pain to enter? It's just extra steps.

I enter by going to Search > Shows

>>>> and then I type in the show name, run date, select private, then select whether it is a horse or a dog. Click search.

>>>> Then when the results load, I right click the names of the ones I have to enter and Request a Spot.

Then you have to wait for them to go in and accept the shows, you get a message . You open the message, click the show name and then enter the shows for the last time.

The dogs get more points that way. They move up pretty quickly that way. I have never done a horse breed, but I know they get more points too and I am assuming they'd rise in points fast too.

horse shows sell for 4-5million, spots for 400-500k a spot.

dog shows sell for 2-3million, spots for 200-250k a spot
