are we we supposed to accrue HPP from player achievements? Yes, right? If so, what's the rate of HPP to achievements and is there often a delay in time before the HPP shows up in your account? Thanks!

You get HPP from player achievements and referrals :).

It's 1 HPP per player achievement, and they will show up when the cron runs the following night after you've earned them (or in the case of some achievements, like the ones for being president of all clubs, they will show up at the end of the term because it waits until you've completed your club term).

Have you not gotten HPP that you should have gotten?

I got a message about two achievements today - 100m pp and a 5 mill horse - but no update in HPP. Will wait til tm and report back if it hasn't shown up! Thanks, Sam!
