Life Update Post

Where to start?

We had to move out of the beautiful house on the mountain. My soon to be uncle (he's engaged to my aunt) was renting the house to us, and promised us a whole slew of awesome things (including staying at the house for $500 a month). But of course, it was all too good to be true. We were promised use of his plow and we were relying on a wood stove for heat in the winter. Well, about a month after moving in, we found out that he no longer wanted us to use his plow (which is just an old truck with a plow shovel attached to the front) and wanted us to buy our own, do without, or pay someone to do it. We obviously can't afford to pay for it, and we couldn't do without because we wouldn't have been able to get up the mountain in the snow, even with my new Jeep. Not only that, but there was a huge crack in the back of the stove that went all the way through. I didn't feel comfortable running the stove with the crack because I read that it increases CO2 emmissions, and if a spark got out with some embers we could have the whole house burn down.

My brother-in-law passed away a month ago today. He was in a motocycle accident (not his fault), but it was something that has been weighing heavy on my in-laws and husband (whom I live with right now). AND my great Aunt passed yesterday as well. So my family is having a really hard time as well.

So anything happy right now is really appreciated.

I'm so sorry Khal! -hugs- That's horrible and I hope things get better for all of you during this time. I've been in a similiar situation of losing loved ones many times and it certainly can take its toll on you after awhile, and although things seem dark and bleak right now, the brightest opportunities will eventually shine through after this storm passes. But just know we all have your back throughout this and will be here for whatever you need.

So sorry about all that you're going through right now, khal!

I'm sure that's got to be super rough, especially since it seems to be coming at you from so many different direction.

I know this doesn't help right this second, but things will eventually fall back into place as time goes on

I wish there was something that I could say that would make it better for you...

I know that you have a good head on your shoulders, some cute little doggos, and you seem to be really happy otherwise  

People like you don't stay down long! :)

Thanks for the well wishes and the adorable photos! I'm trying to take it one day at a time right now, and it helps.

And it thankfully hasn't been all bad. I started training for a new job a couple of weeks ago, and my first full week is this week. And I have a pretty good feeling I'll enjoy this job quite a bit.
