WHAT IS THE ISHCA? The International Sport Horse Connection Association or ISHCA is a player founded association in the hopes of helping the breeders and the economy of HP; as many of us know, there are many breeds on HP that have pages of horses that are between 94 - 100 years old {meaning that these horses have been around since practically the foundation of HP} or there are no pages at all, which is honestly very saddening. There are many breeds that have some of the most amazing history to them and they deserve much more popularity than they're currently recieving. My hope is that the ISHCA will not only educate people about these beautiful breeds, but will help current breeders connect and help their markets expand as their breed ambassadors. HOW DOES THE ISHCA WORK?
The ISHCA mainly provides the assistance of breeders to produce and market quality yearlings and two-year-olds to the public or to lease their stallions and broodmares through the ISHCA's Breeding Program to help expand lineages and increase market sales of offspring from award-winning sires and dams. The Association mainly takes in breeds who are listed as "warmbloods" and are origined in countries outside of North America and Canada. There is some flexibility and exceptions to this registry acceptance due to some other breeds being considered as warmblood influences through ancestry such as Thoroughbreds, Anglo-Arabians, Andalusians and Lippizanners. All breeders who register with the ISHCA are eligible to lease out their broodmares/stallions, auction their prodigy or their bloodlines and attend the auctions; all horse auctions that will be selling yearlings, two-year-olds, young adults {3 - 5 year olds} will begin between November 22nd, 2017 - January 18th, 2018. There will also be an occasional in-foal sales from the breeding during the December - January months when bloodlines available. These auctions will take place on the Association's page and will be hosted through us by the seller. These auctions can be re-scheduled or cancelled at anytime should the need arise or if there is nothing available during that period for sale. You may contact the ISHCA for further information on foal/in-foal sales. ISHCA BREEDING & LEASING PROGRAM
The ISHCA is proud to have established the newest breeding and leasing program available on the game to expand lines. All breeders whom have registered their stallions or broodmares with the associations will be eligible to lease their horses; the stallion or broodmares selected for the breeding program will be required to go through an approval test to ensure that quality-lines and offspring will be continually brought onto the market. The approval tests for all registered stallions and broodmares will begin two weeks prior to the breeding sale that are to be established throughout mid-March to mid-July. STALLION APPROVAL REQUIREMENTS: โ All stallions must be at the minimum of Generation II, but higher generations are preferred. โ All stallions must have at least a minimum of 1.2 - 1.3mil points. โ All stallions must be at the minimum age of 15 to be eligible for the breeding program and can remain on the program until the maximum age of 20 years. โ All stallions must not be bred more than three times and should not have any foals prior to the listed ages. โ All stallions are recommended {but not required} to be registered within the Clubs. BROODMARE APPROVAL REQUIREMENTS: โ All broodmares must be at the minimum of Generation II, but higher generations are preferred. โ All broodmare must have at least a minimum of 1.5 - 1.6mil points or at least 80k more than your roster stallions. โ All broodmares must be at the minimum age of 15 to be eligible for the breeding program, but can removed at the latest of 19 years. โ All broodmares must not be bred more than three times and should not have any foals prior to the listed ages. โ All broodmares are recommended {but not required} to be registered within the Clubs. All horses that are officially approved through testing will be able to fill out the breeding forms to enable them to be auctioned/leased.
